Let It Always Be with YOU

“Your commandment makes me wiser than my enemies, for it is always with me.” Psalm 119:98

Christianity is not complete without the instruction of God. For you to live a complete life of a true believer, you need and you must follow the word of God. You must do it with all your heart and your entire soul.

There is no how you can fight the battles in this world and succeed without the word of God. He gives you His commandments so that you can conquer all your enemies.

For instance, God says you must love everyone. If you know you have an enemy and this person has shown himself or herself to you. By loving the person irrespective of whatever this person is doing to you, is capable of making the person regrets his or her actions and later on comes to you for forgiveness.

Love is God and God is love. Love is part of His commandment.

In the midst of a conflict, if you choose to be quiet instead of shouting at the same time with that person, then you are wiser. God’s word does not authorise you as Christian to fight with anyone. It does not permit you to create enmity with anyone.

This is why you need to embrace God’s commandment with your entire life so that you can be wiser than those who hate you. Make it your habit to live daily on the commandment of God. His laws are not too difficult. Rather, they are for your own salvation, to protect you, to guide you and make your life an eternal blessing.

Peace!

Do You Need It?

“Have nothing to do with stupid and senseless controversies; you know that they breed quarrel.” 2 Timothy 2: 23

When you decide to keep cool in the midst of conflict, it does not mean that you are a dummy who cannot fight. It simply means that you are wise to know how to avoid trouble.

It is the same when dealing with people. You need to understand that not everybody will be able to understand things the way you do. This is why you need to be very careful with what comes out of your mouth.

You may say something and another person will read different meaning to it. They will go on to accuse you of being a problem and before you know it, they will start quarrelling with you.

Now, I implore you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to be very, very cautious when you talk.

  • In fact, you should only talk where it is relevant and needful.
  • Be careful what you say.
  • Think thoroughly before letting the words out of your mouth
  • Be spiritually conscious all the times.

I pray that the Lord will help you more in your Christian life so that you will live the pleasing life require of you, amen.

Peace!

Power of His Might

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18 (KJV)

When you understand fully well the Lord you serve, then I am sure you will not panic in the face of adversary.

God is love, and He cares for you and I, but when it comes to exhibiting Himself, He manifests in His splendour!

There is no power on this earth, under this earth of anywhere that is higher than the power of God. This you must never forget.

  • There is power in the Blood of Jesus Christ.
  • There is power in the Word of God,
  • There is power in the commandments of God
  • There is Power in the grace of God
  • There is Power in the faith you have in God
  • There is Power in the ways of God
  • There is Power in everything that God says
  • There is power in God’s sovereignty and supremacy
  • There is power in the love of God
  • There is power in everything of God!

Tell me, are these entire not assurances for you? This is the reason why you should not forget that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shall condemn…” Isaiah 54:17a

Knowing that your life is secured in the Lord and in the power of His might, aren’t you glad?

Peace!

Your Emergency Responsibility

“All Israel shall mourn for him and bury him; for he alone of Jeroboam’s family shall come to the grave, because in him there is found something pleasing to the Lord, the God of Israel, in the house of Jeroboam.” 1 kings 14:13

If you read the entire chapter 14 of 1 kings, you will discover how Abijah, son of Jeroboam fell sick, and Jeroboam instructed his wife to disguise herself and go to Prophet Ahijah to inquire about the health of their son, and how the Prophet revealed the woman’s true identity even before she stepped into the prophet’s house.

Then this was followed by Prophet Ahijah’s prediction concerning Jeroboam and his family. God granted Abijah a honourable death, and burial and memorial mourning, which all Israel did for him.

The bible says, none of Jeroboam’s family will die naturally because of his numerous sins BUT God remembered Abijah and there is no doubt here that among all the family members of Jeroboam, Abijah must have followed God with his entire heart.

Yes, the boy died but he did not die mercilessly like the rest of his family. He died normally, and was buried and all Israel mourned him.

If you read the verse again, you will notice this precious words; “…. because in him there is found something pleasing to the Lord, the God of Israel…” That means Abijah served God throughout his life!

He died, not paying for the sins of his father. I bet God removed the boy earlier on away from his family so that he would not experience any of the punishments set out for Jeroboam, who failed to serve God but worship false gods, burnt incense, bow down to lifeless images, which he believed would save him.

Many of us Christians do not see the emergency when it comes to us teaching our children about God. I would like to understand this, and that is, Christianity is not just meant for you and you alone. It involves your family members too. If you are a parent, then you have the emergency responsibility to lead your children in the ways of the Lord.

Apart from this, do not be so indulge in your sinful ways and by this influence your children as well. You are hold responsible for what happen to them. You are in charge of their wellbeing and for this, you must show them the ways of God. Tell them about the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ. Make them know that God exists and teach them about the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Jeroboam was a bad parent, yet his son, Abijah, chose not to follow his father’s footstep. The boy must have been shown God’s instructions right from when he was young and he lived by it until his death.

I still remind you, nothing is of emergency responsibility to you presently than to raise your children in the ways of God. You may never know the effect of this at the moment until generation after generation of yours exist years on that the effect of what you teach them would show.

Do not be a bad parent like Jeroboam; instead, make it your profound duty to nurture your children with love, and divine laws of our Lord.

Peace!

Who Are Your Friends?

“Happy are those who do not follow the advise of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and his law they meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2

Often we believe that friends are doing us good when they advised us on issues that we told them, but at the end, we discover that the advises our friends gave us are not good.  It is true that our friends may mean well for us, and they believe in their own understanding that they are helping us.

This can be likened to the wicked ones. When someone whose heart is filled with evil comes to you, there is every possibility that you may not have the idea that the person is bad. He may hide his true identity and then advise you on things to do, and if you are not careful or sensitive, you may end up following his advise and that’s how you get into trouble.

The bible says, we should not follow the advise of the wicked. And how can you avoid this? This is by being conscious of what is being said to you, by taking every note of words people come to tell you and by being filled with the Holy Spirit of God to be able to discern the good from the bad.

Believe me, you cannot continue on this journey of your Christian faith without the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life because he will help you to avoid sinning. You need to avoid many sinful advises that people bring to you. You don’t have to join them in participating in what they do. When you do that, then you are not in accordance with God’s law.

Happy, that’s what the bible says, will that person be, whose heart is strictly for God. When you are for the Lord, there is no way you will get into trouble because surely your life is governed by the law of God.

And when you choose to follow the wicked ones and dwell in sin, peace of mind will elude you, and of course, there is no way you can be happy because you will be taunted by guilty conscience all the time.

So please choose to follow God, seize from getting advises from the evil ones and rest your heart upon the Lord. He will bring you peace of mind that no one can ever or will ever give to you.

Peace!

Let It GO!

“Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.” Colossians 3:13

I would like you to understand that the way it is easy to get angry with someone, so also it is easy to forgive. Many of us have reached the stage where nothing can get on our nerves and we do forgive, irrespective of whatever anyone did to us, but there are some who seem not to forget and forgive no matter what.

As Christians, we don’t have the right to hold grudges against anyone. In fact, Christ does not authorise us to keep malice and then not forgive. No matter what someone did to us, or will do, we must forgive. This is Christ commandment!

The nature of God is to forgive, to let go and that is it, and we must obey God’s instructions.

Have you ever paused and asked yourself this; if God hasn’t forgiven us all of our sins, I bet we would have really messed up big time. You can imagine how many offenses we did against God and He forgives our iniquities.

So do not hold any grudges but please forgive, forgive, forgive and let go.

Peace!

Sincerity with Love

“I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.” 2 Corinthians
8:8 (NIV)

In your Christian journey of life, your faith will be tested in many ways. You will be tested through your speech, your conducts, your attitude to people and your world, and equally your manner of living.

And as you are being tested, you are to prove your sincerity for God and His sovereignty. You need to prove it without any doubt how much you love God, how much you are willing for, to promote His kingdom and how ready you are at all times to listen to His divine instructions.

When you say you love God, then you have His love within you, and that love will be tested too. And when you are found truly to be for God, then you will be required to test your love by comparing it with others.

How do you do this? It will be mostly by your ways of life? You are not the one to determine how people will know the sincerity of your love. They would find this out by watching you, what you say, digging deeper into your personal life and many more.

Remember, people are not the one solely to test your sincerity for God’s love. He also will do that, to see your patient, your perseverance, your commitment and of course your willingness to live your entire life for Him.

Be a good example of sincerity with love, and let the world see the differences between you and the others. In fact, make it your duty to stand out, to live your whole life for the divine love of God.

Peace!

Who Are You?

“My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27

The way of the Lord is not difficult and also His instructions are not demanding. When you declare you allegiance to God, then you have to focus on building your relationship with Him.

This, you have to do in every aspect of your life, in your speech, in your attitude, your conducts as well as you relationship with people.

Are you God’s child? Then you have to obey His voice. You have to follow Him with your entire heart, and not halfway through. God is not happy when you proclaim you are His but your personal life is not straightforward.

Believe me, my dear brethren, you will experience lots and lots of temptations but you have to fully come to the understanding that your life is no longer the way it used to be and that now, you are for God, so you must strive, even harder, to live for Him.

If you are for God, then you will hear His voice, obey His instructions, live according to His will and be in profound relationship with Him. It is not just by word of mouth but equally by what you do, how you live and what direction is your life at the moment.

To follow God with your whole heart and without any biases has its own best result. I have never seen anyone who faithfully follow God and be let just like that. God lifts up His own people. He ensures all go well with them. He is forever with them in times of trials, problems and whatever. In fact, God shares His Sheep’s tears, happiness, pain, emotions, passions, and love.

He is not a God that will fail to hear His own Sheep. He is neither deaf nor dumb. His ears are over the righteous to deliver them from every calamity and chaos of life.

The question you need to ask yourself is; are you God’s Sheep?

Peace!
