The Shame that flushes your face

‘Wherefore, if meat causeth my brother to stumble, I will eat no flesh for evermore, that I cause not my brother to stumble.’ (1 Corinthians 8:13 ASV)

Christianity is not a joke. To keep on living the true life of believer, it requires constant doings such as praying, reading the bible, attending church services, serving God in every way and most importantly, preaching God in whatever you do.

If your life as a child of God is questionable then there is a problem. The only question people should be asking you is, how we know your God? But when people start saying, ‘Are you truly a Christian? then you need to cross-examine your life.

Your family members should be the first people to benefit from your Christian life. It should your utmost goal to ensure that they, too get to know Christ and accept Hm as their Lord, and personal saviour.

If Christianity is all about food and drink then there is no need to promote Christ because it is needless. On the other hand, christianity is life. Christianity is not religion. It is simply extreme liberty from sins and guilt. It is about ensuring the continuity of other believers in their salvation. It is about solidifying what Jesus Christ did for us on the cross.

Thus be very careful. Be cautious of every step you take. Let your speech, your gestures, your way of dressing, your attitude and your movement reflect presence of Jesus Christ. Be conscious of to how you lead others to God. Do not be their blocking stone. Instead be the one who will successfully lead them to Christ. Watch the way you talk. Do not let it be said that it is through you that that person fell out of the grace of God. Do not stand in their way of salvation. Do not use the name of God to deceive people into helping you financially.

Remember if your actions, if your character and if your life is not promoting God, then please change it so that you will not cause the other Christains to fall from their righteous paths. Imagine the dirty shame that will flush your face upon realising you were the one who let others stumbled from following God!

God bless you.

The Days of Noe

“As the day of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:37 (KJV)

Surprises are good but it can get to a point that you will realised that certain surprises are not good.

It is the same that will be when Christ returns. I don’t think you would love to find yourself in the same situation of being taken aback by his returns.

In the days of Noe (Noah), many people don’t believe the flooding. Noah preached to them, warmed them and I bet he must have begged them to listen to him. But they bible says, they continued with their ways, which means they refused to listen.

If they or some of them had heeded to Noah, I bet they would have been saved.

Jesus Christ compared his return to that of the days of Noah during his preaching and you know, what God says, surely, it will come to pass.

So I would like to ask you, are you prepared? Or are you ready to be taken by surprise of return of Christ?

In Search of What?

“If I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.” Galatians 2:18

A life of a Christian is transformed the day he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal saviour. In spiritual context, his past becomes his past and now, he is a new person.

In this aspect, it means he is no longer that old person he used to be. He is now ready to live in obedience to God and his commandments.

I passed through this stage when I met Christ. And you did too. It is like changing out old clothes and then put on a new one, beautiful and brand new!

What happened to us when we then try to go back to the same life? We will be termed as sinner! That’s it! You may not believe it but the day you decide to go back into your old lifestyle, then you are a sinner.

You may have stopped smoking, drinking, and doing all the things of the world, but the day you return to such life and you start smoking, drinking and restart all the activities of the old, then you are automatically back in sin.

Apostle Paul called it ‘transgressor.’ And this is no different from the word ‘sinner.’

You may need to ask yourself, does it worth is going back into the old lifestyle? What do you gain from returning?  You are in search of what?  Peace?

The grace of God may stay with you even when you return to your old ways but you need to understand and realise that you are not doing the will of God when you restart your old life that was supposed to have been buried and forgotten.

Make it your duty not to suffer the grace of God upon your life. It does not make any sense that you should put the name of God upon your life into shame. Think about this, we are referring to your life and you must make it your ultimate duty to let everything about you glorify the name of the Lord.

The Source of Forgiveness

“Therefore, my brothers, I want you to know that through Jesus the forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you.” Acts 13:38 (NIV).

You don’t have to doubt anymore about where comes your redemption because as you have read in this verse above, your forgiveness and mine is from our Lord Jesus Christ.

Without Jesus Christ coming to save you and I, I bet we would have been lost long ago.  Christ came, forgave us and took away all our sins without Him asking us to Him back.

What a priceless love! Thank God for our Lord Jesus Christ, and for giving us the gospel of peace.

Praise the name of the Lord!

Sincerity with Love

“I am not commanding you, but I want to test the sincerity of your love by comparing it with the earnestness of others.” 2 Corinthians
8:8 (NIV)

In your Christian journey of life, your faith will be tested in many ways. You will be tested through your speech, your conducts, your attitude to people and your world, and equally your manner of living.

And as you are being tested, you are to prove your sincerity for God and His sovereignty. You need to prove it without any doubt how much you love God, how much you are willing for, to promote His kingdom and how ready you are at all times to listen to His divine instructions.

When you say you love God, then you have His love within you, and that love will be tested too. And when you are found truly to be for God, then you will be required to test your love by comparing it with others.

How do you do this? It will be mostly by your ways of life? You are not the one to determine how people will know the sincerity of your love. They would find this out by watching you, what you say, digging deeper into your personal life and many more.

Remember, people are not the one solely to test your sincerity for God’s love. He also will do that, to see your patient, your perseverance, your commitment and of course your willingness to live your entire life for Him.

Be a good example of sincerity with love, and let the world see the differences between you and the others. In fact, make it your duty to stand out, to live your whole life for the divine love of God.

Who Are You?

“My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” John 10:27

The way of the Lord is not difficult and also His instructions are not demanding. When you declare you allegiance to God, then you have to focus on building your relationship with Him.

This, you have to do in every aspect of your life, in your speech, in your attitude, your conducts as well as you relationship with people.

Are you God’s child? Then you have to obey His voice. You have to follow Him with your entire heart, and not halfway through. God is not happy when you proclaim you are His but your personal life is not straightforward.

Believe me, my dear brethren, you will experience lots and lots of temptations but you have to fully come to the understanding that your life is no longer the way it used to be and that now, you are for God, so you must strive, even harder, to live for Him.

If you are for God, then you will hear His voice, obey His instructions, live according to His will and be in profound relationship with Him. It is not just by word of mouth but equally by what you do, how you live and what direction is your life at the moment.

To follow God with your whole heart and without any biases has its own best result. I have never seen anyone who faithfully follow God and be let just like that. God lifts up His own people. He ensures all go well with them. He is forever with them in times of trials, problems and whatever. In fact, God shares His Sheep’s tears, happiness, pain, emotions, passions, and love.

He is not a God that will fail to hear His own Sheep. He is neither deaf nor dumb. His ears are over the righteous to deliver them from every calamity and chaos of life.

The question you need to ask yourself is; are you God’s Sheep?

Make it Your Duty

“May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus.” Romans 15:5

There is no doubt that a house divided against itself, shall fall. When there is no unity among believers, then there will be strife. There is much chaos going on in the church of God and among believers these days and they look as if the discords are meant to destabilise the people of God.

When we are in the church, and we envy one another, or we are jealous of each other, or we talk endlessly against another brethrens, then there won’t be peace.

God calls us so that we can partake in His glory, to live out our entire lives for Him, to be different in everything we do so that people can differentiate us from the unbelievers.

But when we do not show that we truly are Christians, but we go on showing and behaving like the unbelievers, then what happened to the image of Christ in our lives?

We need unity to conquer the world. And for this, we must pray, pray and pray at all times to God to help us, to gives us the unity we need to live our Christian life.

There is no need living for the downfall of other. We don’t gain anything in wishing bad or evil to our fellow brothers. We must unite, love, and cherish one another.

God gives us this assignment for His own glory and honour, so that the entire world will come to Him through us.

Make it your earnest duty to bring peace to the lives of your fellow Christians, to love them, to support them, to make it openly known to them that you are indeed for Christ and not the other way round.

I Could Never be Sorry for the Grace of God in My Life

“All of us once lived among them in the passions of our flesh, following the desires of flesh and senses, and we were by nature children of wrath, like everyone else.” Ephesians 2:3

There is no Christian today, who has not passed through former stage, I mean former life, where he lives in the flesh, do all in the ways of the world. We all have different stories of how we come to God.

Our redemption stories are different. In fact, some don’t remember anymore how it all begins. By accident; some people found themselves in the midst of believers and by the intervention of the Holy Spirit they are saved.  There are some who willingly and freely decided they must henceforth follow Christ.  Some have known Christ but they are not stable in their faith, and thus they go and on off until one day, their lives changed and they focused now on God. And this may be funny, but there are some who are forced to know God.

No matter how we all come to know God, I thank God for we all are under the same body, under the same anointing, and serving the same God.

Though I have a very strong Muslim background, I was born into a Christian home. Thank God for my mother!  It was easy as she hailed from Christian home, and all my siblings are Christians. My father never practised Islamic. And he did not force his faith on his parents or siblings. He is just different. Everyone used to say my mother converted him but I don’t think so. I grew up going to church with him. Today, his entire life is consecrated in serving Christ.

I studied Bible extensively while in schools and personally. None of us in my house can avoid reading or learning the Bible, because my mother will not permit that. She is a strict disciplinarian.

In spite of my deeper knowledge in the word of God, the youth craziness, the will to be part of the society, to belong, to check out everything, to manipulate and those nasty stuffs those days, just took over me. I still attended church, even changing churches at intervals as I relocated but I must confess, I hardly knew God, then.

Those days, there is this solid mentality that anyone who goes to church is a believer, a Christian who knows God and I believed this so much. I can quote and argue from Genesis to Revelation with anyone who dared.

Until that moment of grace, that beautiful day when Christ came, and told me: “Princess, enough is enough.”  Since then, I never looked back. Of course, there have been of failings but it’s no more like the past.

The Bible says in Ephesians 2:8: 9 “For by Grace you have been saved through faith, and this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God —not the result of works, so that no one may boast.”

When the Grace of God is upon your life, believe me, the rhythm of your life will completely be different because you will no longer be singing the old songs but a new one, directly from the heart of Christ.

It is God’s grace that leads me and brings me to God today, otherwise, I would have been lost, and maybe I would have ended my life mercilessly.

What about you? Are you under the Grace of God or not?

A Divine Mystery You Need Not Bother Checking Out

The righteous perish, and no one takes it to heart; the devout are taken away, while no one understands. For the righteous are taken away from calamity, and they enter into peace…” Isaiah 57:1-2a (NRSV)

It is not surprising that many people have no idea about the ways of God. They talk anyhow, insult God the way they want, and in fact, denounce the Lord, as they like.

When calamity comes, such as the earthquake in Haiti, you need to see and hear how people condemn God. Some said why did He allow this to happen. Some cursed Him. Others even got to the point where they said God is a cruel God.

I must tell you that apart from this, many people don’t even have any tangible relationship with God. They don’t believe He exists and for that, there is every notion that they use their months as they like.

In the face of disasters, it is not only the unbelievers that perish. The righteous ones go too. And for this, the question will be ‘ why must God allows His people to die?’

Please do not forget that God is not the author of confusion. He has no interest in anybody’s downfall. He is loving, caring, and always working for our own good.

It is only God who knows why the righteous must die alongside the unbelievers. Just as the sun, shines, the moon gives us light and the rain, falls upon the good, so also they fall and shine upon the bad.

In the world, the good and bad must live together, which is for the time being. And, It is God who decides.

Look at the verse in Isaiah, when the righteous are taken, you don’t need to ask God why. They are taken away, through any incident, by any forms, for their own sakes and it is for them to avoid future calamity.

Someone says, many believers die so early in their faith because if they don’t go away at that time, they may end up blaspheming in the future, and for them to return to God might take time, or they may never return.

I agree with this person. God sees us, He knows our hearts, and He knows what we are capable and incapable of doing. He will do anything to preserve our faiths in Him.

Many years ago, I had a very good sister and friend. She was a strong devotee, and I love her faith in the Lord. Then one day, she died. I, personally, did not understand why, until years on. And I just have to thank God she’s gone.

What if she’s still here, and then loses her salvation. God preserves her from future calamity.

Please, do not join the ignorant in questioning God. You do this at your own peril and of course, your own foolishness. God is not a dummy that He will not know what is happening.

The righteous ones die and go away for them to be at peace. They can go away in whatever forms, whatever means. It is God who knows why such paths are chosen.

Stop, I implore, stop questioning God.
