“Lord, you have been our dwelling place in all generations. Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever you had formed the earth and the world, from everlasting to everlasting you are God” Psalm 90:1-2

It is so annoying hearing so many people saying God does not exist. Believe me, I feel so sad each time I hear people denouncing God’s existence.
Some for personal reasons and events in their lives came to the conclusion that God actually does not exist.

God says He is I AM THAT I AM. He does not lie with His name and He will never do that.
I want you to know that God is everything you need in your journey of life. You can’t travel this road alone. It is not possible. It is either you are on God’s side or you choose the opposite.
Life is such risky and tempting that no matter whom you are or your level in life; you truly need God and His presence in your life.
God has been so good to me. I am a living witness. Without God’s mercy, His love and His compassion, I don’t think I will be here writing this post to you.
You may be confused at the moment about the events happening around the world. Do not panic. These are meant to happen and of course no one can stop them.
What you need is to get closer to God, to acknowledge His sovereignty in your life and in every area of your existence. Do not be so foolish to denounce God. He wants you to know Him, to come closer to Him, to talk your heart out to Him, to tell Him what you want, to be His friend, to be His companion, to be His confidant and of course the Lord over your life.

Are you glad to be alive? Are you not happy that you have job that earn you something? Don’t you feel grateful for having that sound health?
No matter how people try to wipe out God’s existence on earth, no matter how they try through their scientific or technology venues, they will fail because they are mere mortal and their thoughts plus their ideas will perish with them BUT God and His supremacy will forever lives on!
Jehovah is the Lord. From generation to generation, He is the Lord!

“Conduct yourself honourably among the Gentiles, so that, though they malign you as evildoers, they may see your honourable deeds and glorify God when he comes to judge.”1 Peter 2:12

The difference between a true Christian from someone who has no knowledge about Christ or had swayed from the truth is seen from character and comportment.

How you conduct yourself anywhere you are and whatever you do is very important. People see how you behave, how you talk, how you walk and whatever you so. They are the one to decide if truly the life of Christ is in you or not.

You may think you are straight with God, maybe you think you pray, your attend church, or you are in the choir. Perhaps you are a pastor in your church.

Does your character and behaviour portrait the real God-like character? Or are you just pretending? Remember, you can deceive those around you. In fact, you can hide your smoking, drinking and sexual immorality secret from them BUT can you run away from God’s all-seen eyes?
Let God be seen in you. Make it your duty to show the life of Christ in you. Let the Holy Spirit be presence in your life so that you will be helped to walk as God wants you to.

If God is not seen in you, then why are you a Christian? Or do you think being a Christian means just attending church service, praying, paying tithes, and singing worships songs?

Do not be the one to crucify our Lord Jesus Christ the more. In fact, pray not to be a child of disobedience. If you must, then change your habit. Live your life according to God’s instruction so that people will praise God for your life, and most importantly that they will come to accept the Lord Jesus Christ through seeing your Godly-character.

“God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth” John 4:23-24

I implore you today to be conscious of how you worship God. Sometimes, it is so easy to worship God without you feeling anything within you.

When you genuinely worship God, you will feel it. It will not be that you are doing the eye-service or that you are being forced to do that.

Worshipping God requires your honesty, your entire heart and of course the presence of the Holy Spirit dwelling inside of you.

Make it your habit today to be genuinely worship God, to praise Him with all your heart and of course your soul. Do not be like those ones who raise their hands and cry their heart out but do not have any honesty within them about worshipping God.

God takes your worship of Him seriously. He wants you to acknowledge Him during your worship and praises. What He does not want is for you to pretend while in His presence.

Do you know what? Worshipping God is just enough for your life to transform miraculously with greater advancement for your life.

Why not worship Him!

“Thus saith the Lord; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the Lord.” Jeremiah 17:5

Is it not funny that someone will put all his entire life on another fellow being? It is like missing salt and salt together in a soup and you expect not to make the soup too salty but in the end, you end up spoiling it with too much!

It is also like a man who does the same thing all over and over again while he expects different result.
We all understand how devastating it is for a man to trust in another man. The Word of God has several chapters and verses that warn us against this.

God keeps telling us the side effects of trusting a man. Take a deeper thought on the following verse 6 of Jeremiah 17; “For he shall be like the heath in the desert, and shall not see when good cometh; but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, in a salt land and not inhabited.”

Do you now understand why it does not worth it trusting another man? It’s just a waste that will yield no positive fruits.

God wants you to trust Him and Him solely. You are not being force to do this BUT you are and will be doing well to your soul when you fully decide to trust God for all your needs, your situation and your life.

Now we will continue with Jeremiah 17 and verses 7-8 to see the wonderful results on a man who genuinely trust God “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

I believe I will leave it for you to decide who to trust; and that is, are you going to trust your fellow human being or are you going to trust God?

The truth is; you don’t lose anything by trusting God. In fact, you gain more. Your life changes when God becomes your ultimate trust. DO NOT lean unto your own understanding but trust God with all your heart (Proverbs 3:5).

Whatever you want in your life, trust God for it! Are you looking for deliverance from any form of sickness, depression, barrenness, failure? Trust God to help you. Do you feel there is not good that life can offer you? Trust God to change your circumstance.

There is no uncle, aunty, sisters, friends, colleagues, strangers, spouses, children, parents, godfather and mothers that can help you the way God does.

Please, I implore you to take that decision today and solely trust God for everything you need, you want, and you desire.

Thus saith the Lord; trust me, I say, TRUST ME!

“Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought ; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:” 2 Thessalonians 2:8

This is one of the best verse I refer to most of the time I need inspiration. Here is Apostle Paul clearly mentioning how he and his fellow ministers worked for themselves in order to survive during their missions.

They did not rely on any household, churches, or community to feed them. Instead, they worked with all labour to survive.

If the men of God in the days of the Bible could do this, tell me, what stops any of us working to earn our daily meals?

I want you to understand that many people are the cause of their own problems today. They are too lazy to work. They prefer to depend on someone else, or their government to feed them.
When by chance you meet them and ask them why they are not working, they will tell you that they searched endlessly for the job but they did not find.

Honestly I don’t and have never believed them. I knew that if you search diligently with all your heart for a job, there is no how you won’t find one.

Here in France, it is so common to see group of youth hanging here and there during the hours of the days, I mean, twenty four hours in the working days, without working.

We have greater populations of the Arab youths between the age of 18 – 40 years who are jobless and l can tell you that majority of them are troublemakers.

They are just created for trouble. Imagine seeing them hanging together near a building during the hours when they supposed to be at work. Most of them today are rogues, riot-makers, and endless drug-dealers.

In Proverbs 20:13 (KJV), it is written; “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.”

Another chapter in Proverbs says “the desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.” Prov. 21:25.

It worries me to see these Arab youths and men wasting away their precious lives and times. Imagine them leaving their beloved countries to come here and live on without working to earn their living.

Nearly 75% of them rely on government money, which is given to people without job.
You may be one of them or you have someone close to this same situation. You have to understand that nothing is too late.

God created you to live and work so that you will be abundant blessings to you, to your family, and to your world. If you stay jobless and you prefer to stay that way, then you must understand that you are not fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.

Laziness does not pay. Rather, it brings in many sorrows at the end of it all. Imagine ending up your life without any income and you have children who are looking up to you; what account will you give to them?

What kind of foundation are you lying down for your future generation?

Work, work and work please, so that your life will be meaningful. And when you are in search of work or you are working, please do the one that is pleasing to God and not the negative.

Never blame God for your circumstances. You are responsible for them.

You shall not make wrongful use of the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not acquit anyone who misuses his name.” Deuteronomy 5:11

How many times have you heard this or even you yourself saying it ; ‘I swear to God, I didn’t do it, I swear to God, It’s not me, I swear to God…….;’

Tell me, how does it sound to your hearing when you hear that? I mean, having to swear and of course using the name of God to swear?

Do you not feel the guilty that comes with uttering such statement? Does it not occur to you that it is an act of disobedient and of course a sin using God’s name to swear?

Often, I heard people saying; ‘God is my witness………’ in their statement. I wonder when God becomes a witness in court cases, or in private discussions!

In Leviticus 19:12, the Bible says “And you shall not swear falsely by my name, profaning the name of your God: I am the Lord.”
The same is written in Exodus 20:7.

And thank God, we have the freedom and great liberty to come to God closely for our need. We can tell Him about our request and needs without anybody interceding on our behalf. What a privilege!

Nevertheless, you have to realise that God is more than your imagination. Do not find joy in using His name anyhow because you think He will understand. You may be in the society where people around you take the name of God for granted, that is no excuse on your side to join them.

When you sincerely fear God (1 Peter 2:17), you will not, I mean, never use God’s name anyhow. God is not your toy that you or your children or any members of your family or your friends can play with. God is God and you must render Him all honours due to His name!

There are so many chapters and verses in the Word of God that refer to not using God’s name to swear or anyhow.

Respect God. Honour the Holy Spirit, Believe in Jesus Christ and live your life truly in conformity to what the Bible teaches.

May God help you, amen.

When they had crossed, Elijah said to Elisha, “Tell me what l may do for you, before l am taken from you.” Elisha said, “Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit.” 2 Kings 2:9
Looking at the life of Elisha, there is no doubt that he faithfully served Elijah while with him. He stayed with his master even unto the end.

Elijah, just like Enoch (Genesis 5: 24), did not die the natural death. He was taken up to heaven. The day he was to be taken up, Elisha, his servant was with him. Elisha knew the time was at hand for his master to go. The company of Prophets who were in Bethel and Jericho also knew about Elijah going to heaven.
As for him, Elijah knew how painful their parting would be between him and his servant, Elijah, so he (Elijah) tried so hard to dissuade Elisha from following him but Elisha made it known that no matter where his master goes to, he too will go. And that’s what he did. He followed his master despite the other one’s fruitless effort.

The time came, and Elijah could no longer hide his feeling, thus he asked Elisha “Tell me what I may do for you, before I am taken from you?”
At least his master had affirmed his departure. There is nothing Elisha can do to stop that from happening. He loved his master but he understood the situation.

So astonishing what Elisha asked for from his master; “Please let me inherit a double share of your spirit.” Is that not encouraging!

If Elisha was like greedy-Gehazi, who will later on be his servant (2 Kings 5:19-27), I bet he (Elisha) would have asked for all the property of Elijah. Rather, he asked for the simplest of all.

To Elijah, that was no for him to determine as he replied “You have asked a hard thing; yet, if you see me as l am taken from you, it will be granted you; if not, it will not” 2 Kings 2:10

And it came to past that Elisha saw his master taken up and indeed, his request was granted! What a lucky man of God!

Elisha’s case is similar to that of King Solomon; (1 Kings 3:9-14). To rule the people of God, King Solomon knew he need more than riches and wealth. While in prayer to God, he asked for wisdom and understanding mind to be able to govern the Israelites properly and efficiently. And God answered his request.

Take a deep thought into the lives of these two men; they understanding the power behind requesting for something from God!
You must learn from them. When you are before God and you are making your request, I implore you to be very clear and concise. Do not just be so selfish about just getting your need only from God and then turning your back on Him. Instead, ask with a sincere heart.
Show to God that you are for Him and not just for yourself. Elisha did not ask for double share of Elijah’s spirit to use for himself. Rather he requested for that to govern God’s own people. It is the same with King Solomon. These men knew they cannot do it alone. They asked God to give them what they will use to serve God and not what they will use for themselves.

As for you; have you been asking God only how you will succeed in your life without asking how to help God’s Kingdom?

Are you just there for yourself or you are for God? Maybe it is high time you checked your life to see how far you are with God.
Maybe you have the God-given gift in you that you just dump somewhere while satisfying the gravities of your heart. Then you need to make a rethink. Ask wisely from God and do not make a fool of yourself when making your request from God.
Note; God cares so much about you and He will do whatever it takes to make you understand that he will forever loves you.

“The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, because you did not trust in me, to show my holiness before the eyes of Israelites, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them” Numbers 20: 12

Believe me, there are so many lessons to learn from this Bible chapter and these are;

1) You cannot fight for God! Do not think you can. God does not need you to go and kill someone on His behalf. He does not need you to murder thousands of people thinking you are doing this for Him. If God need to deal with someone, He will do it himself. You maybe a Christian, but your mission is not to terrorise the lives of people with the thought in your mind that you are doing it for God.

Listen, God is not a murderer. Even if anyone insulted Him like the way the Israelites did, that cannot move God to kill them. God is love and that means He forgives no matter who and what level of offences.

2) When God instructs you to do something, do it the WAY He commanded. Do not use your own method thinking that God will understand. I have heard that statement so many times and it hurts me ‘God understands’.

There are issues that you just have no choice than to obey God. Tell me, who are you to think you can boycott God? Even if you do and hide under your cosy bed, God’s eyes are everywhere and He sees you.

If Moses and Aaron had obeyed God, surely they would have gotten the privilege to enter Canaanland. Their disobedience cost them their lives.

3) It was Moses who insulted the Israelites and struck the rock twice BUT because Aaron was Moses accomplice, he (Aaron) too paid the price for disobedient.

Avoid being an accomplice with someone who finds joy in toying with God. Avoid friendship with a terrorist. Flee from intimate with anyone who laughs at God.

4) Mind the way you talk! Whenever you are angry, do not talk. Wait until you are calm and the anger is gone off you. it was out of horrible anger that Moses lost it all. What a painful experience to him. He worked all his live to get the Israelites out of Egypt but he ended up losing his right to enter the promise land with them. God only allowed him to see the land from afar before his death.

Anger is a terrible emotion and you must deal with it fast if you don’t want it to destroy you.

5) Finally, respect God. Respect the Powerful Living Word of God. What God says is true and you only have to say ‘yes Lord’ whenever you are send on any errand.

It takes the Divine Power of the Holy Spirit of God to help you understand what God requires from you. Do not make the same mistake as Moses. It does not pay you to lose your life out of disobedient.

“The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, because you did not trust in me, to show my holiness before the eyes of Israelites, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land that I have given them” Numbers 20: 12

This was at the waters of Meribah where the people of Israel quarrelled with the Lord. God made this declaration out of the disobedient of Moses and Aaron.

The entire chapter began with the people of Israel complaining as usual for water. They needed waters and as you know, the people of Israel in the days of Moses are just too stubborn to understand anything.

One minute, they will recognise God’s supremacy and begged for forgiveness but the second minute, they will be back to complaining and murmuring. In fact, they wearied Moses with their endless cries.

I must tell you that the people of Israel in the Biblical days are classified trouble and every servant of God leading these people just need to be more patient, otherwise, they will make him sin against God.

That was exactly what happened in the above chapter. The Israelites arrived in the wilderness of Zin and then stayed in Kadesh, where Miriam, Moses sister, died. (Numbers 20:1) Then there was no water for them to drink.

The Israelites, as usual with their behaviours, began to quarrel with Moses and Aaron. They gathered against the two. I bet you can imagine the sort of insults they hurled at these humble men of God. Despite, Moses and Aaron kept their peace and went to God on these people behalf.
God Instructed Moses to TAKE his staff (rod) and COMMAND the rock, before the eyes of the Israelites, to bring forth water.

Instead, Moses and Aaron quiet right gathered the Israelites to assemble. Then he HIT the rock TWICE after he had insulted the people! (Numbers 20:10-11).

God did not instruct Moses to INSULT the Israelites. Also God did not tell Moses to HIT the rock twice. He simply ordered Moses to COMMAND water to come out of the rock.

Commanding means to TALK TO THE ROCK. But Moses made terrible mistakes while he thought he was fighting for God.

Watch out for the next concluding part of this post…..

Jesus wept” John 11:35

This is known to many to be the smallest verse in the Bible. The New Revised Standard Version (NRSV) is written this way; “Jesus began to weep”.

With several troubles around the world, many people had fixed this thought on their heart that God does not exist, or God does not care. There are some who boldly keep asking ‘if God exist, why then does He allow this to happen to us?’

When you look at these people, you will clearly see their ignorant. They fail to look and see that most problems we have today are not from God BUT the handiwork of men, of the governments and of course the people themselves.

I want you to know that God is not the author of evil. He is for good and for the well-being of each and every one of us.

In the above verse, Jesus wept and He did because He loves Lazarus. Though Lazarus was confirmed dead and forgotten, Jesus Christ raised him from the dead.

Jesus wept because He cares about the well-being of Lazarus, because he wants to see Lazarus alive and not dead, because He is a compassionate God.

God does not find any job in our infirmity, or our illnesses. He is not happy that you are inflicted with cancer, asthma, epileptic, HIV, diabetes, barrenness, blindness, et cetera.

What God wants is your healing, your wholesomeness, your laughter, your happiness, your joy, and of course all that it takes for you to have sound health.

Do not reduce yourself to that mentality that God has abandoned you. That is just the lie that Satan wants you to believe.

God never abandon any one no matter how far you have strayed from Him. He is a covenant keeping-God and He cannot do anything outside of His promises. What God says He will do, He will surely do! Just be patient and DO NOT GIVE UP!

In your moment of need, hold on to God. He is concerned about you and He must fulfil your request. Keep up your faith; hold tight to God’s word.

He is a compassionate God and He will forever be!
