“His mercy is for those who fear him from generation to generation.” Luke 1:50

It is widely known and accepted that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom and you can find this stated in several verses from Genesis to Revelation.

When you fear God with all your heart, then you are acknowledging His existence and His supremacy. You don’t see Him but you believe He is forever there for you.

There are so many people who don’t fear God. They don’t even believe He exists. They have concluded in their hearts that there is no God.  And this is very well known in our present day society.

Lots and lots of people have sown their hearts to the devils and they don’t want to accept that God is there anymore. They rejected God and they speak harshly about Him. In fact, they don’t have any respect for God.

In spite of all these and of course of these people, there are generations of people whose hearts are forever on God’s side. I am one of them and I will forever be.

To fear God, you need to genuinely love Him. You need to accept Him as your own Lord and saviour. You need to live your life solely for Him. Believe me, it pays to serve God and to fear Him, truly because you are not just doing this for yourself but you are doing this for your generations and generations to come. Read this above verse again and you will come to understand what this means.

This is Mary the mother of Jesus praising God in this verse. You know how she became the appointed mother of our Lord and how her cousin, Elisabeth the old woman ended up conceiving at her old age and gave birth to John the Baptist. If you read these women stories, you will know that they deserved being the appointed ones.

Their past generations have laid the foundations long ago by fearing God. This is why you must continue to fear and reverence God so that your coming generations will reap the benefit of this.

The ONLY Wise God

“To the only wise God our saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion, and power, both now and ever. Amen.” Jude 25

I say to God be the Glory! He made us in His image, all handsome and beautiful! Who else deserves all honours?

Yes! He is the only wise God! No other god can be like Him. He is not just a wise God, but He is equally our saviour! Aren’t you glad to have the Lord of Lords and the Kings of all kings in your life?

There is absolutely nothing else for you to do than to praise Him now. Do not wait until you find a quiet corner to do that. Praise Him in your heart, in your speech, in your songs, and hymn. Let the entire world know Him through you.

Unto God be all glory, majesty, and dominion, and power both now and forever more. Amen.

Who Are Your Friends?

“Happy are those who do not follow the advise of the wicked, or take the path that sinners tread, or sit in the seat of scoffers; but their delight is in the law of the Lord, and his law they meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2

Often we believe that friends are doing us good when they advised us on issues that we told them, but at the end, we discover that the advises our friends gave us are not good.  It is true that our friends may mean well for us, and they believe in their own understanding that they are helping us.

This can be likened to the wicked ones. When someone whose heart is filled with evil comes to you, there is every possibility that you may not have the idea that the person is bad. He may hide his true identity and then advise you on things to do, and if you are not careful or sensitive, you may end up following his advise and that’s how you get into trouble.

The bible says, we should not follow the advise of the wicked. And how can you avoid this? This is by being conscious of what is being said to you, by taking every note of words people come to tell you and by being filled with the Holy Spirit of God to be able to discern the good from the bad.

Believe me, you cannot continue on this journey of your Christian faith without the presence of the Holy Spirit in your life because he will help you to avoid sinning. You need to avoid many sinful advises that people bring to you. You don’t have to join them in participating in what they do. When you do that, then you are not in accordance with God’s law.

Happy, that’s what the bible says, will that person be, whose heart is strictly for God. When you are for the Lord, there is no way you will get into trouble because surely your life is governed by the law of God.

And when you choose to follow the wicked ones and dwell in sin, peace of mind will elude you, and of course, there is no way you can be happy because you will be taunted by guilty conscience all the time.

So please choose to follow God, seize from getting advises from the evil ones and rest your heart upon the Lord. He will bring you peace of mind that no one can ever or will ever give to you.

How Pride Destroys

“When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom.” Proverbs 11:2

It is normal when you show your joy over something, such as you passing your exam, achieving a solid goal, winning huge money or house, or finding your life transform into a better one.

But what happen when that joy of yours becomes a beast to you? That is, taking total control of you until you are no longer conscious of your environment or people around you? Then it means you have allowed PRIDE to come in.

Pride easily slips in anybody’s life. You don’t have to invite it before it comes. Too much of showing off, or becoming uncontrollable, are all evidences of pride. There is no one with pride in his life that will succeed.

It brings more of chaos, headache and pain to its carrier. In fact, pride is a beast, and once you allow it, then you automatically incur several human enemies for you.

People don’t like to associate with anyone full of pride, because that person tends to think he alone knows it all, and no one else does.

Also, a person full of pride won’t notice when goodness passes him by, because as far as he is concerned, he has all the goodness he needs without him realising he’s merely building hope on empty air.

Do not allow pride to ruin your life, I mean if you have it or notice you do. With pride, there is no way you can give chance to the Spirit of God to manifest in your life. There is absolutely no way the Holy Spirit will operates in the life of a proud man.

When you humble yourself before God, then He will give you wisdom and lift you up. Do not be so stupid to tell God that you don’t need Him in your life.

Get wisdom through mastering humility. Respect God. Honour the Holy Spirit. Show reverence to our Lord Jesus Christ. Treat every living soul you see in and around you with lots of love.

Avoid pride so that your Christian faith will not suffer shame. I bet you wouldn’t want to be nailing our Lord Jesus Chris back to the cross through your nasty pride.

How It Shall Go Well with You

“Happy is everyone who fears the Lord, who walks in his ways. You shall eat the fruit of the labour of your hands; you shall be happy, and it shall go well with you. “ Psalm 128:1-2

Trust goes beyond just mere words. It means taking the initiative in your actions, your moves and with all your might. When you trust someone, you are rest assured that this person will not disappoint you. You feel good within you and there is the peace that comes with it.

But I would like you to know this; trusting your fellow human being is like wasting lots of years trying to be a castle in the sand. To trust a man is nothing but fruitless effort because man will surely fail you. It may not be instance but such a time will come when you will really see that this person is not worth trusting after all.

God is forever God, and to Him be all the glory, honour and adoration forever more, amen. You have nothing to worry about when you trust Him. By doing this, you are confirming your reverence to God.

Do you remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom? You fear God means you know He is God, and you heed to His instruction without any argument. To fear God equally means to love Him, to trust Him, to accept His Lordship over your life.

And when you fear Him, surely you will be happy as the verse quoted. Your life will not be same when you choose to live in God, to walk in His ways, to obey Him, to advance in your knowledge of Him.

The Bible says because you fear the Lord, and because you walk in His ways, then you shall prosper, in every endeavour of your life. You shall prosper in your businesses, your job, your career, your education, your family, you relationship, and with your children.

What a joy, knowing how much we gain when we follow God and earnestly walk in His ways! The Lord says, it shall go well with us.

Aren’t you  glad to realise this? You don’t have to look elsewhere anymore. Believe me, there is no need. Just go on, put your trust in the Lord, fear Him with sincerity, respect Him, love Him and it shall go well with you, in Jesus mighty name, amen.
