What is Man?

“To whom will ye liken me, and make me equal, and compare me that we may be like.” Isaiah 46:5

All glory must be unto God, the creator of heavens and earths. I would like to announce to you that there is never anyone like God and forever will anyone be like Him.

The Bible says, ‘what is man that you are mindful of him, the son of man that you care for him?’ Psalm 8:4. This is vivid reason why you must never give priority to your fellow human being instead of God.

It does not matter how great or wealthy you are. What matters is how you treat God, how you render to Him all honour, all glory and all adoration due unto Him name.

Think thoroughly about this and don’t ever, ever compare God with your fellow mortal beings. It is an act of stupidity and also sinful.

Peace!

Assurance for Your Life

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shall not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” Isaiah 43:2

There is a popular song that says, “the steadfast love of the Lord never cease, His mercy never comes to an end. They are new every morning, new every morning; great is thy faithfulness, oh Lord! Great is their faithfulness.”

This song is taken from the book of Lamentation 3:22-24. In King James Version, the verse 22 is written this way, “it is of the Lord’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not.”

If you are able to digest this verse and understand it thoroughly, you will realise that God is forever on your side.

You may be passing through tough circumstances in your life that you wonder why these are happening to you. You may have been asking yourself countless unanswered questions because you are so curious to know why unfavourable situations come your way.

In spite of all, I have good news for you! God is in charge of you! You don’t have to believe this.  Just accept what I stated. No matter what you are going through, no matter the level of troubles you are in, no matter the deadly sickness that try to destroy you, and irrespective of every difficult situation in your life, the good news is that God will see you through!

Hallelujah! The name of our Lord be praise for ever and ever, amen!

He is the El Shaddai! He is Jehovah Jireh, our God the provider. He is Jehovah Shalom, our God of Peace! He is Jehovah Shammah, Jehovah Elohim, The Alpha and the Omega. He sees all and He knows all.

There is nothing too difficult for Him. Jesus says in the book of Luke 18:27, “And he said, The things which are impossible with men are POSSIBLE with God.”

Wow! How amazing is the Word of God! You know what? You have all the assurance for your life right there in the bible. Do not waste time anymore fighting your battles all alone. Go now, I say go, go, go, go, and tell God all your problems, He is in charge and He will take care of them all!

Peace!

Power of His Might

“And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.” Matthew 28:18 (KJV)

When you understand fully well the Lord you serve, then I am sure you will not panic in the face of adversary.

God is love, and He cares for you and I, but when it comes to exhibiting Himself, He manifests in His splendour!

There is no power on this earth, under this earth of anywhere that is higher than the power of God. This you must never forget.

  • There is power in the Blood of Jesus Christ.
  • There is power in the Word of God,
  • There is power in the commandments of God
  • There is Power in the grace of God
  • There is Power in the faith you have in God
  • There is Power in the ways of God
  • There is Power in everything that God says
  • There is power in God’s sovereignty and supremacy
  • There is power in the love of God
  • There is power in everything of God!

Tell me, are these entire not assurances for you? This is the reason why you should not forget that no weapon fashioned against you shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgement thou shall condemn…” Isaiah 54:17a

Knowing that your life is secured in the Lord and in the power of His might, aren’t you glad?

Peace!

Sly! Sly! Sly!

“And it was so, that when any man came nigh to him to do any obeisance, he put forth his hand, and took him, and kissed him.” 11 Samuel 15:5

Absalom was a typical example of deception. He did everything he could to overthrow his father, King David and of course, he succeeded.  No one except his co-accomplished knew what was going on. He won the heart of every Israelite through kissing, comforting, counselling, and love, which I will refer to here as false love.

There are so many of Absalom here today. To you, they are the best candidates for any position. There is every possibility that people will end up referring to these people as their idols.

Examples of such are found in the presidential race, or any political positions. This is where people will do all they could to vote in someone because they have concluded that this person is going to solve their problem. At the end of the day, all these people would discover they made mistake voting for this person.

Deception is an invisible spirit. You may not believe this but it is a spirit in disguise. It comes to you without your awareness. And it comes through any means. It may be through women, men, animal or whatever. By the deception operates most using human being. This is why you have to be very alert in your Christian life.

It is not enough that you are a believer. You must embrace the Holy Spirit of God with all your heart and your soul. When the Spirit of God is fully in your life and directing you, He will help you to discern any spirit especially the spirit of deception.

There is surely no gain in falling through deception. It ruins life, destroy relationship and can kill as well. Absalom won over his father, David. But then, he did not live long. He died during war. If Absalom knew that his end would be that way, I am sure he would have done anything to avert it.

I would plead with you to avoid any form of deception you have or anyone want to bring you to. And for you to flee from this, please, be consistent in prayer, reading the bible and being in daily relationship with the Holy Spirit. Build your love for God!

I bet you don’t want to ruin your relationship with God. So be very, very, careful with whom you deal with, how you go about your life, to whom you discuss your life with, and what you yourself do with your life.

Peace!

The Power that Be

“But the word of God grew and multiplied.” Acts 12:24

There are false beliefs everywhere, where majority of people believed that Christianity is not authentic. Many have concluded that there is nothing as gospel. Some said the bible is false. Other said Jesus Christ is just human as us and that he is not the Lord.

In the days of the Apostles, the disciples of the Lord suffered greatly because of this.  Some were martyred, others molested, and the rest of them died anyhow. Before their deaths, they encountered lots and lots of tribulations.

The leaders then tried by all means to stop the gospel from spreading. They threatened them, beat them, jailed them, mocked them, and did all sort of things to them.

BUT the Bible says, in the above verse of the book of Acts that God’s word did not cease to grow! What a joy! The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ multiples and this is why you and I are able to know salvation.

There is power in the word of God. And there is nothing that will diminish it. God says, “heaven and earth shall pass away but his word will never go away.” This is a solid assurance of our faith in the Lord.

I want you to know that your faith in the Lord is a blessing and you must not relent in your services to Him. Do not fear because greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Peace!

The Art of Silence

“If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.” James 1:26

I want you to understand that it is good to talk BUT it is a disaster to talk too much.  When you are in the midst of people, you must know that you are not the only one talking. For when you begin to talk and talk, without leaving any chances for others to talk, then you are in a big problem.

People with you may take it that you are just trying to dominate the conversation when you talk too much. There are those who will even say this openly to you so that they can let you know their feelings toward you.

Another back setback about talking too much is that you can end up saying what you are not supposed to say. This will just pop out of your mouth and if what you said is about someone in your group, then you create chances for enemy in your life.

One other point is by talking too much, you can begin to fabricate lies upon lies in order to boost your egos. When people are listening to you, there is every means that you will find their attentiveness too inviting and to make them listen the more, you begin to lie, telling them things that are not true.  By this, you ended up sinning.

Too much of talking is not good especially for a Christian. You are the embodiment of Christ and you must show this in your attitude. There is no place in the bible that says Jesus Christ is a talkative. During His life on earth, He listened to people, paid attention to their words and waited until they have finished before He answered them.

You must avoid any temptation when in conversation with other people. Listen to them the more. Make it your duty to listen and listen about 70% of your time and make the 30% worthwhile when talking. Do not be happy to fabricate lies because it is not going to get you anywhere.

Flee from being a talkative. There is no way the Holy Spirit of God will use you when you don’t know how to keep your mouth shut.  Master the art of silence as if it is your last lesson on earth. By doing this, you are progressing in your Christian life and you are glorifying the name of the Lord.

Peace!

The Rights of the Poor and Afflicted

“I know that the Lord will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor.” Psalm 140:12

There have been lots and lots of accusation against God. In times of troubles especially those happening in the world such as the earthquakes, sudden deaths, economic recession and so on, many people tend to ask why God allow this and that situations.

If you listen to them all, you will almost get to the point yourself that if you are not careful, you will join them in blaming God.

I would like you to understand that God will always maintain the cause of the afflicted and He will continue to fight for the rights of the poor. He is not wicked. He cares for you and I.  His name is Love!

Many of the events that occurred came out of our own doings. Take a look at the climate changes, this does not exist this way in the pasts, but because we have involved so much in carrying out lots of new technologies that cause large pollutions and damages to the world, the results of these we are now experiencing with the climate changes.

We failed, I mean many of us failed to look at this, rather, and they turned their thoughts to God and pointed accusing fingers at Him. God is not responsible for the accidents, incidents and events going on around us.

He is here to help you and I. This is why we must not reject Him. He will fight for our cause and our rights. I have never doubt God’s works in my life because I am a living testimony to all He’s done and still doing in my life.

I want you to recognise His works in your life too. Remember His miracles upon your life and do not forget that He will fight your battles and gives you back your rights.

Peace!

The Days of Noe

“As the day of Noe were, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.” Matthew 24:37 (KJV)

Surprises are good but it can get to a point that you will realised that certain surprises are not good.

It is the same that will be when Christ returns. I don’t think you would love to find yourself in the same situation of being taken aback by his returns.

In the days of Noe (Noah), many people don’t believe the flooding. Noah preached to them, warmed them and I bet he must have begged them to listen to him. But they bible says, they continued with their ways, which means they refused to listen.

If they or some of them had heeded to Noah, I bet they would have been saved.

Jesus Christ compared his return to that of the days of Noah during his preaching and you know, what God says, surely, it will come to pass.

So I would like to ask you, are you prepared? Or are you ready to be taken by surprise of return of Christ?

Peace!

In Search of What?

“If I build again the things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor.” Galatians 2:18

A life of a Christian is transformed the day he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and personal saviour. In spiritual context, his past becomes his past and now, he is a new person.

In this aspect, it means he is no longer that old person he used to be. He is now ready to live in obedience to God and his commandments.

I passed through this stage when I met Christ. And you did too. It is like changing out old clothes and then put on a new one, beautiful and brand new!

What happened to us when we then try to go back to the same life? We will be termed as sinner! That’s it! You may not believe it but the day you decide to go back into your old lifestyle, then you are a sinner.

You may have stopped smoking, drinking, and doing all the things of the world, but the day you return to such life and you start smoking, drinking and restart all the activities of the old, then you are automatically back in sin.

Apostle Paul called it ‘transgressor.’ And this is no different from the word ‘sinner.’

You may need to ask yourself, does it worth is going back into the old lifestyle? What do you gain from returning?  You are in search of what?  Peace?

The grace of God may stay with you even when you return to your old ways but you need to understand and realise that you are not doing the will of God when you restart your old life that was supposed to have been buried and forgotten.

Make it your duty not to suffer the grace of God upon your life. It does not make any sense that you should put the name of God upon your life into shame. Think about this, we are referring to your life and you must make it your ultimate duty to let everything about you glorify the name of the Lord.

Peace!

What happened to your PURSE?

“He that giveth to the poor shall not lack: but he that hideth his eyes shall have many a curse.” Proverbs 29:27

Giving is a blessing. The more you give, the more you are securing your life. Your destiny becomes more solid because no one whose hands freely give will lack anything. It does not have to be money.

A divine favour of God comes into your life when you engage in giving without any stress. When you happily give to the poor and those in need, God will continue to multiple your life in several ways.

It is not a duty nor is it a forceful obligation to give. You have to let this comes willingly from your heart. I mean you must be passionate about giving. Do not just sit there and expect more to come to you when you are a tight-fist.

Give deliberately. Be joyful about it. Bring smile into the lives of people through your giving. Make a difference. Let this be in the name of God.

Peace!

Have you tried enough?

“For wherever the carcase is, there will the eagles be gathered together.” Matthew 24:28

Like attracts like. There is no doubt that in life, you will always attract your like. People like you will surely be the one that will come into your life.

It is like magnet though you never see it. I will call it a spiritual magnet. The way you are, your attitude, your life and how you operate in life will bring the people like you into your life.

Often, you don’t ask for it, I mean you don’t expect these types of people in your life. And you might be wondering how come they are there.  In fact, there is every possibility that you hardly take note of your life and the way it is.

This is why you need to be conscious about how you live your life. Do not be surprise when you have lots and lots of Gypsies as friends. You may not like having them in your life but the truth is you ask for them. This is hard to accept but take a pause and check out your life.

There, you are likely to find out that all along, you too have been living like a Gypsy.  I can boldly tell you that no gypsy is bad. I just used this as example.

If you want to be modest, to such point that people see you as perfect, then you need to be careful with your choice of friends. Don’t say you are Christian, someone filled with the spirit of the Lord and you are always seen in a bar parlour.  Let people see you as you say you are.

To be a Christian, then you have to let go of so many things. Being pure is hard but the goals are rewarding. Being holy is not a child’s play but the end result is everlasting.  Move with people who are indeed and sincerely Christians. Share their passion for Christ. Join in their congregation meetings. Spend times with them and learn to show that you genuinely love them.

It is your choice but you must understand that your life, I mean your Christian life is much more influenced by the people you move with.

Be careful.

Peace!

The ONLY Wise God

“To the only wise God our saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion, and power, both now and ever. Amen.” Jude 25

I say to God be the Glory! He made us in His image, all handsome and beautiful! Who else deserves all honours?

Yes! He is the only wise God! No other god can be like Him. He is not just a wise God, but He is equally our saviour! Aren’t you glad to have the Lord of Lords and the Kings of all kings in your life?

There is absolutely nothing else for you to do than to praise Him now. Do not wait until you find a quiet corner to do that. Praise Him in your heart, in your speech, in your songs, and hymn. Let the entire world know Him through you.

Unto God be all glory, majesty, and dominion, and power both now and forever more. Amen.

Peace!

Identity

“…Because they took him for a prophet” Matthew 21:46b

They tried so hard to capture Jesus before His time while he was on earth but they failed. For many times, they’d tried, nothing came of it. They never succeeded.

Why? They took Him for a prophet. And of course, who is He?

This should be a deep question that you must debate on. Jesus Christ is a prophet though the chief priests and Pharisees failed to recognise this while He was still in their midst.

Funny, isn’t it?

To you, is Jesus Christ a Prophet or not?

Peace!

Let Him be in Charge!

“Except the Lord build the house, they labour in vain that build it; except the Lord keep the city, the watchman waketh in vain.” Psalm 127:1

Without God fully established in your life, believe me, you are like a boat without any anchor and with no direction.

When God is directing your life, then you are with purpose. It means you are not just living without any meaning. In your life, the Lord dwells and He reigns. And when you leave no chance for God to manifest in you, then how can you progress?

No matter how much of wealth you have, no matter the level of your achievement in life, all of these are nothing when you don’t have God in your life.  There are so many people who have concluded that God does not exist. They are living in total darkness and complete ignorant.

How could anybody just wake up one day and then decided that God is just a thought? It is very funny, really and majority of these people have reached the point in their lives now that they are regretting their decision about denouncing God.

Listen; let God be the source of your dreams. Do not think you can make your dreams come true by your own understanding. Only God can lift you up and make you stay there. When you depend solely on your human wisdom, then you are leading to failure.

When God is in charge of your life, then you have the durable victories that will forever be. Why don’t you take out the time and think thoroughly over this?

I implore you, let Him be in charge.

Peace!

Are You Ungrateful?

“For him that is joined to the living there is hope: for a living dog is better than a dead lion.” Ecclesiastes 9:4

Are you at the point of cursing yourself, wondering why life has remained unfair to you? Then I implore you to wake up!

Look around you and observe what is happening, then you will see how many people daily lost their lives. Majority of these peoples are wealthy, very rich but their riches had failed to buy them life.

Is this making sense to you? That you are alive is a blessing and you should be grateful. Instead of you hiding in a corner and mourning, why don’t you make use of that time to praise God?

There is hope for you! I repeat: there is extreme hope for you. You are alive, and that is a great achievement, which I want you to be forever grateful. As long as you are living, everything will be fine with you. It is just a matter of time.

There is hope for you!

Peace!
