Doses of ‘Why’ and Pain

Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.” 2 Corinthians 1:4

My 3 months old niece passed away in the early morning of the 31st December 2016, which is just two days ago. I was about 6000 kilometres from her and her family, but I shared my family’s loss.

She, her elder sister and their mother, who is my younger sister was spending the festive week at my mother’s house where it happened.

My niece was hale and hearty. They woke up to find her gone. I asked myself why infants die young when I carried out my investigation concerning SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrome). The results were not fascinating. Mixed feelings did further drain me , saddened and spent the new year eve as well as the new year day bombarded

While I pondered on my doses of pain and why; on the other side of the Atlantic, my family members were partaking their own doses of pain. There was my mother who even till now refuses to get over it as she embraced unfounded self-guilt. The fact that her youngest grandchild died in HER house was traumatic. She kept asking, “why”.

As for my sister; her deceased daughter was not her first child but the first in her second marriage and my niece came after three years of series of unsuccessful pregnancies.

Today, my niece is no more.  Nothing we attempt can bring her back. We are comforting my sister. We are convincing my mother to not focalised on the fact that the incident occurred in her home.

The doses of why and pain within my family at the moment increased my understanding that we MUST avoid posing questions of ‘why’ to God.

Pain is pain. Death is death. Every individual on this earth has something that hurt. People die 24 hours in 7 days and as the same time somewhere every minute is a child being born. The reality is that death is no respecter of anyone; irrespective of age, skin colour, status, race or language.

I believe instead of drenching and drowning in our pain and endless questions of , “Why God?”, instead we should praise the Lord. It may be hard to sing and thank Him, but that was exactly what I did few hours after I hear the bad news. From my phone, I listened and sang along to worship songs.

In spite of my sorrow and losses, in spite of my doses of pain and why; those songs helped me find comfort and reassurance in the Lord. No matter what we are going through, God’s love for us is eternal and He alone has the complete explication of all we are going through, and He will bring us out of the situation.

It is for the sole reason we must not pose Him any question. Simply praise Him!

How to get to your last Bus-Stop

‘For in much wisdom is much grief; and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.’ (Ecclesiastes 1:18 ASV)

There are several accounts of king Solomon’s relationship with Queen of Sheba though the bible only noted their meeting. One account stated that both of them had sexual relationship. As for the latter, personally I am in doubt about this.

These two had two things in common; they were powerful and wise. They had their peculiarities. With all their wisdom, especially that of King Solomon, he ended up realising his limits.

One thing about Life is that the more a man knows, the more he would love to know. A man wants to know more. He is never satisfied with his level of knowledge. A man wants to be perfect. He desires to be the best, to be above all and all. A man wants to be in charge of everything. He wants to rule the world! He wants to control and does not want to be controlled in return.

If you look at the society, what you will notice is the speed at which individuals are battling against one another all in the bid to win the others over. Giant companies are competing and cheating, and pirating and copying one another in the struggle for power. Politicians are attacking themselves through destructive means.

And the question that will pop into your mind is, WHY?

You should not be surprise because by nature, human being is never contented with single achievement. It is not his fault. It is his nature.

However there is a price attached to every achievement. Nothing in this life is free except Salvation. To get to the top, a man must work hard until he bleeds. To remain slim, a woman must exercise and eat with detailed care. To be a medical doctor, a man must first study medicine. To be a good policeman, a man must go for training. To be a good businessman, a man must learn to master how he handle his money and work tirelessly.

The problem is, a day will come when there will be a final FULL-STOP. This is the day when a man dies. That day he will not carry all his wealth with him to his grave. He will not have his Phd degree in his pocket when he meet God because there is not job requirement in heaven. He will not have his wife lying with him inside his coffin telling him to throw away that packet of cigarette in his hand.

King Solomon understood this predicament of a man when he wrote, ‘I have seen all the works that are done under the sun; and, behold, all is vanity and a striving after wind.’ (Ecclesiastes 1:14 ASV)

Therefore, I’m here to remind you not to forget your salvation no matter what you do. Put God first before any other things. Do not honour another man in the place God. When it is finished for you, it means it is finished for you. Remember your life is like chapters in a book; as you have a beginning, so also you have an end. Death is inevitable and the earlier you accept this, the better for you.

So live your life doing good. Eat well. Sleep well. Worship God non-stop. Preach Christ in all your endeavour, live in harmony with people, do not be lazy, be contented with what you have and work hard if you must BUT don’t get involved in crooked actions.

Above all, never stop praising God every second of your life. He deserves it!

The Societal Poison

‘Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you;’ (Deuteronomy 6:14)

Society influence is what we’ve ignored as far as human understanding is concerned. We underestimate its power without taking conscious of the effects until it’s too late.

Around us, people do things that are unacceptable, things that we should be ashamed of if caught in it but somehow instead of us to correct these people, we, ourselves become entangle in the same act without any remorse.

And God is not happy with this. Moving from serving God to worshipping another god is religion prostitution. It means a so-called Christian has missed his way at that moment when he pushed aside God’s grace over his head and goes to serve his neighbour’s god.

We have one God and only Him you, and I must serve. Whatever god your neighbour(s) serves is none of your problem.

Be faithful to God and He will bless the work if your hands. Also He will give you successes in whatever you do.

And what happened or will happen if you neglect God and go to bow your head to your neighbour’s artificial god?

Well…you know the answer, already.

Peace.

God or no one else

“They went off and worshiped other gods and bowed down to them, gods they did not know, and gods he had not given them.” Deuteronomy 29:26

We have ONE life. We have ONE God. For this revelation, our lives are not given to us by ourselves. We are created by God and in His own image. He has the right to create us the way He wants. He could have designed us like the chimpanzee and we would have live our lives in the forest, eating away the grass.

God knows why He chooses to create us like him and gives us the dominion over all the animals in the air, the sea and on the earth.

Therefore why must you become so stubborn as to abandon your maker and instead go for the gods who are nothing but mere waste? There is nowhere in the bible that God ordered us to mix up our salvation with serving other gods.

He created us so that we can live with freedom and love for one another. God does not authorise us to worship other gods. He does not force any impurity on us. God wants us to acknowledge Him and Him alone.

If your life is not deeply rooted in God’s divine love, then you must be ready to change and do away with all the gods. Imagine you bowing down to a carved idol? How do you feel?

It is easy to be forgiven but it is more dangerous when you have to be keep doing the same thing over and over again. Keep off from any barbaric acts. Worship God only. And DO not BOW to any false image, rather, BOW to the KING of kings!

Peace

Praise the Lord!

“The Lord exists forever; your word is firmly fixed in heaven.” Psalm 119: 89

May the name of the Lord be praise! No one can be compare to Him. And no one will ever be like Him. He lives on forever and ever, amen.

Come on; join me to worship the Lord! All glory, all honour and all adorations be unto His holy name!

Hallelujah!

Peace!

All Glory, All Honour and Praise!

“For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed, says the Lord, who has compassion on you.” Isaiah 54:10

I don’t think there is any need to explain this verse to you. All I want you to do is praise God for His everlasting compassion that changes not. Glory be unto His name forever and ever, amen.

God is forever be praised. It is not to me that all glory should go to but to Him for He alone deserves all.

No matter the situations you are going through, I want you to be at peace and relax because He will help you out. He says that He will not leave you nor forsake you.

His name is Jehovah and forever will He be.

He says His compassion will not depart from you.

He assures you that His steadfast love will forever be with you.

And He promises you that His covenant of peace will stay on with you and your family and will never be removed.

Please join me to praise God! He is the King of kings, the Lord of Lords. He is the one who is worthy of all praises.

Blessed the Lord, oh my soul and all that is within me, bless His Holy name!

Peace!

The ONLY Wise God

“To the only wise God our saviour, be glory and majesty, dominion, and power, both now and ever. Amen.” Jude 25

I say to God be the Glory! He made us in His image, all handsome and beautiful! Who else deserves all honours?

Yes! He is the only wise God! No other god can be like Him. He is not just a wise God, but He is equally our saviour! Aren’t you glad to have the Lord of Lords and the Kings of all kings in your life?

There is absolutely nothing else for you to do than to praise Him now. Do not wait until you find a quiet corner to do that. Praise Him in your heart, in your speech, in your songs, and hymn. Let the entire world know Him through you.

Unto God be all glory, majesty, and dominion, and power both now and forever more. Amen.

Peace!

Oh My Soul!

“Bless the Lord, o my soul, and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and do not forget all his benefit—” Psalm 103:1-2

Each second, every minute, and hour, I bless the Lord for my life. I am hale and healthy, I am not crazy in the head, and the Lord blesses me in every endeavour of my life, so why can’t I praise Him?

If you look back into your life, into every detail of you, you will see that you have all reasons to thank God. It is of no use when you don’t appreciate what God done, and is doing in your life.

When you don’t show a genuine heart of gratitude, then it means you are absolutely ungrateful and that you don’t care about the presence of God in your life.  I rather advice you to start appreciating the Lord for every thing you are.

Do you know that the more you praise God, the more your life becomes better and better?  So what is your soul doing? Is your soul praising and blessing God?

Daily, I ask my soul to bless the Lord. My soul is the vital part of me. Without it, then I’m not here. When my soul is healthy, then all is well with me. This is why I pray and bless the Lord with my soul. I ask my soul to praise God, to worship Him, to honour Him and never forget its source and that is God.

My soul will never forget the benefits of the Lord, the grace of serving the Lord, and the abundant presence of the Lord in my life.

Tell me, why should my soul not appreciate the Lord, its source?

Bless the Lord, o my soul and please, please, and please, DO NOT FORGET ALL HIS BENEFITS!

Peace!

An Open Heart of Gratitude

“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom, and as you sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs with gratitude in your hearts to God.”  Colossians 3:16 (NIV)
When someone does something great for you, you tend to appreciate this person. In fact, you end up going an extreme length some times to say ‘thank you.’
A heart that is not grateful is a heart that does not appreciate value.  Life is such that you must not forget to be grateful to others for where you are. The truth is you don’t get to that level in your life all by yourself. People contributed in many ways to raise you up.
These people don’t just get to you by mere luck. God uses them to be tremendous blessings to your life and this is why you must not forget, first of all, to give honour mostly to God.
It is one thing to praise God, to read the Bible, to teach the word of God, to worship Him and it is another thing to do all these with genuine gratitude in your heart.
I can’t help bursting into tears whenever I praise or worship God. I don’t fake this. It just comes normally because my entire soul, spirit and body understand how much God has been playing tremendous role in my life since I was born.
My life is not an accident. All the experiences I had in life, both good and bad, all have God see me through. In fact, many people who are close to me known how much God has worked through me.
I didn’t just get to serve God with this vehemence.  I am a living testimony, testifying of the goodness of God in my life. The truth is, I won’t be where I am today, where I am going to and my greatness tomorrow if God hasn’t changed the course of my life.
What the enemy designed, God changed it all, He transformed me, mould out a new me and give me successes in all direction, irrespective of odds.
So you can understand why I must never forget to show my profound gratitude to God. And I knew I am not alone. You too must never forget to thank God, to tell Him you appreciate Him for everything in your life.
One important note; the more you thank God, the more secure your life and endeavours are.
Don’t be ungrateful. Praise God with an open heart of gratitude, please praise Him!
Peace!
