“Neither did we eat any man’s bread for nought ; but wrought with labour and travail night and day, that we might not be chargeable to any of you:” 2 Thessalonians 2:8
This is one of the best verse I refer to most of the time I need inspiration. Here is Apostle Paul clearly mentioning how he and his fellow ministers worked for themselves in order to survive during their missions.
They did not rely on any household, churches, or community to feed them. Instead, they worked with all labour to survive.
If the men of God in the days of the Bible could do this, tell me, what stops any of us working to earn our daily meals?
I want you to understand that many people are the cause of their own problems today. They are too lazy to work. They prefer to depend on someone else, or their government to feed them.
When by chance you meet them and ask them why they are not working, they will tell you that they searched endlessly for the job but they did not find.
Honestly I don’t and have never believed them. I knew that if you search diligently with all your heart for a job, there is no how you won’t find one.
Here in France, it is so common to see group of youth hanging here and there during the hours of the days, I mean, twenty four hours in the working days, without working.
We have greater populations of the Arab youths between the age of 18 – 40 years who are jobless and l can tell you that majority of them are troublemakers.
They are just created for trouble. Imagine seeing them hanging together near a building during the hours when they supposed to be at work. Most of them today are rogues, riot-makers, and endless drug-dealers.
In Proverbs 20:13 (KJV), it is written; “Love not sleep, lest thou come to poverty; open thine eyes, and thou shalt be satisfied with bread.”
Another chapter in Proverbs says “the desire of the slothful killeth him; for his hands refuse to labour.” Prov. 21:25.
It worries me to see these Arab youths and men wasting away their precious lives and times. Imagine them leaving their beloved countries to come here and live on without working to earn their living.
Nearly 75% of them rely on government money, which is given to people without job.
You may be one of them or you have someone close to this same situation. You have to understand that nothing is too late.
God created you to live and work so that you will be abundant blessings to you, to your family, and to your world. If you stay jobless and you prefer to stay that way, then you must understand that you are not fulfilling God’s purpose for your life.
Laziness does not pay. Rather, it brings in many sorrows at the end of it all. Imagine ending up your life without any income and you have children who are looking up to you; what account will you give to them?
What kind of foundation are you lying down for your future generation?
Work, work and work please, so that your life will be meaningful. And when you are in search of work or you are working, please do the one that is pleasing to God and not the negative.
Never blame God for your circumstances. You are responsible for them.
Peace!
