‘Do not follow other gods, the gods of the peoples around you;’ (Deuteronomy 6:14)
Society influence is what we’ve ignored as far as human understanding is concerned. We underestimate its power without taking conscious of the effects until it’s too late.
Around us, people do things that are unacceptable, things that we should be ashamed of if caught in it but somehow instead of us to correct these people, we, ourselves become entangle in the same act without any remorse.
And God is not happy with this. Moving from serving God to worshipping another god is religion prostitution. It means a so-called Christian has missed his way at that moment when he pushed aside God’s grace over his head and goes to serve his neighbour’s god.
We have one God and only Him you, and I must serve. Whatever god your neighbour(s) serves is none of your problem.
Be faithful to God and He will bless the work if your hands. Also He will give you successes in whatever you do.
And what happened or will happen if you neglect God and go to bow your head to your neighbour’s artificial god?
Well…you know the answer, already.
