Why you must not give up?

“Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing.” James 1: 2-4

Everybody has one or more troubles that tend to be alarming and demanding. I can tell you that there is no one who is freed from this. Problems come and go.

As Christian, sometime, trouble comes your way for specific reason(s). Often you don’t fully realise this until when you have solved this problem and that is if you were able to. You must not forget that issues arise, mostly to make you strong and not bring you down.

God is not interested in your downfall or your tears. He rejoices in your well being and this is why when you have issues that are strongly disturbing you, God sees everything and thus He brings in quicker solutions to you.

The more trouble you were able to faced and conquered, the stronger your faith in God becomes. Do not lose hope, thinking that trouble comes to get you down.

Do not even buy into the idea that because you are God’s child that you won’t have problems, that is the lie of the devil from the pit of hell. The devil has nothing good to offer other than to destroy and he will do whatever it takes to get you down. And this is why you must not allow him.

In your distress, I want you to praise and worship God knowing that He will surely get you out of your troubles. When you are in despair, why not go to God in prayer. Share your heart with Him; let Him know about your pains. Of course, God is fully aware of what you are going through but He will not force Himself on you. Instead, He wants you to come to Him, to let Him know what you want, and how you want Him to solve your problems.

I repeat; always consider your troubles, your worries, or your stresses as greater opportunity to testing your profound faith in God. If you are able to hold on to God throughout your ordeal and not waver, then indeed, you have long-lasting Faith in God.

Remember, nothing happened to you by accident but all come to you just to test your faith and to teach you more about life, as well as how to go on living the true life of a Christian.

Look at where you went wrong!

“With the tongue we praise our Lord and Father, and with it we curse human beings, who have been made in God’s likeness. 10 Out of the same mouth come praise and cursing. My brothers and sisters, this should not be” James 3:9-10 (TNIV)

This is call to action for every Christian. How you handle your tongue matters; what you say is very vital. You don’t just talk anyhow as Christian because you should have realised that gone were those days when you can talk anyhow.

Not that you are the image of Christ and you have accepted Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, you are a new person, different from the gentiles. In fact, you are supposed to live your life in conformity with God’s commandments.

When you open your mouth to say something, tell me, what comes out of your mouth? Do you just open your mouth and talk anyhow or your do you watch how you talk, what you say and to whom you say it to?

Being a Christian is not a mere title that you should be glad that you carry around anyhow. In fact, being a Christian goes farther than this. People should see Christ in you, in your speech, in your word, in your character, how you say things, and the way you feel after saying things.

Be very careful when using your tongue so that you will not get into unnecessary sin that you should have avoided in the first instance. Be very care when you talk to people in your moment of anger.

Do not curse because a child of God is not allowed to curse. God loves everybody even the unbelievers and He wants you to love everybody as well; it is not your duty to rain curses on anybody even if the person frustrated you.

Do not wake up in the morning to praise God and then in the afternoon, you are using your that same tongue to curse people.

In fact, apart from cursing, many Christians use their tongues to say fouls things that are not expected from them. God sees everything, everyone and what we do. Your fellow Christian Brother or Sister may not see how you are fond to misusing your tongue but God sees and to that effect you are worst off.

Get out of doing such if you have been doing it. Pray God always and let good words be coming out of your mouth all the time and not curses, not reckless words.

Above all, praise God the more with your tongue and let the entire world see Christ image in you.

Imagine me without you, Oh God!

“I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for them which thou hast given me; for they are thine.” St John 17:9

You pray daily, asking God for something, which is personal to you. It may be general but mostly what you need to move and live on your life. But have you ever taken out time to discover the truth about Jesus Christ?

Do you know that yes He is forever praying and interceding for you even though He is not among us as in the days when He was on earth?

If you don’t think or believe about this, then you should go back to your bible and thoroughly read the New Testament. There you will discover the incomparable love that Jesus Christ has for you.

He is forever the saviour and will forever be!

I kept asking myself, what can I do without the salvation of the Lord Jesus Christ in my life? I mean where would I have been? I guess I would have been such a messy person but because of God’s grace and His divine mercy, I am a different person today.

Thank God for sending His beloved son, Jesus Christ to us all! Blessed the name of the Lord; for giving us this huge gift of salvation that through this we have the liberty, as well as the boldness, to come to God personally, without having to go through physical sacrifice of goats or rams.

Imagine what your life would have been without Jesus Christ taken over! Imagine the worst person you would have turned to be if God has not intervened in your situations! Imagine the chaos, the dilemmas, the traumas, the stresses, the issues as well as the troubles you alone would have to face in this troubled world but for the abundant grace of God, for His loving mercy, for his love that is above all.

This is why God will forever be God and no one else! This is why God will forever be the King of kings and the Lord of all lords. He is the Alpha and the Omega! The beginning and the End!

Can you just take a while and pause over this? you will come to realised that without God, you are absolutely nothing!

A Friend more than a friend!

“They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever” Psalm 125:1

You have seen how mountains are? How huge, fearless they are! These mountains have no fear of falling or anyone breaking them because of their strength. Often you heard about the Kilimanjaro as well as Mount Everest.

These mighty mountains are so powerful that anyone attempting to climb them will fill the force. In spite, many people took the initiative and climbed these mountains to the top.

It is the same as Mount Zion, the relative term for God’s holy place. When you are liken to Mount Zion, then you are powerful, untouchable, and unbreakable, and you become irremovable.

Trusting God for your life and in everything is the best assurance as Christian because you will be at peace knowing that God is taking care of you.

I keep saying this and I won’t stop letting you know that God wants you to trust Him. He delights so much in your welfare and anything that pertains to you. He wants you to rely on Him for every aspect of your life, for your needs, for your request and of course for your well being.

Give God the chance and let Him prove His supremacy in your life. It does not cost you anything to put all your trust in God. In fact, it is the best decision you can ever think of.

If you are not been trusting God for everything in your life, why don’t you just take out the initiative today by going ahead and doing that. Go on, and trust God!

How not to be an accursed Christian

“And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priests, to betray Him unto them. And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. And he sought how he might conveniently betray Him.” St Mark 14:10-11

Have you ever imagine how easy it is for one to betray a friend? I am sure you knew certain part of the life of Judas Iscariot and how he betrayed Jesus Christ.

For the sake of money, Judas abandoned his true calling and went after bribery. Let’s look at the verse again;

1) And Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went unto the chief priest, to betray Him unto them. I would like you to take a moment and think deeper over this. Why would a disciple derive pleasure in selling off his master? What’s wrong here? I mean what went wrong? Here, there is no doubt that Judas must have been rebuked by Jesus Christ over something he did and he (Judas) seemed to be a man who does not like correction. He must have believed the best way to get rid of his master is to betray him after all, he was fully aware that the chief priests want to arrest his master.

2) And when they heard it, they were glad and promised to give him money. You can try to envision the joy that came from the chief priests when they met with Judas Iscariot. They knew it would be easier from now on to capture Jesus since one of His disciples would be the master minder of the arrest. Before this, they found it extremely difficult; I mean their entire numerous attempts to capture Jesus Christ went in vain but here they were sitting alone, still pondering how to go about his arrest when suddenly Judas Iscariot showed up. To the chief priests, Judas was heaven-sent! So they couldn’t figure out any better way to compensate him rather than to give him money.

3) And he sought how he might conveniently betray Him; believe me, the influence of money can be chaotic and often drives one to the extreme. Immediately the chief priest promised to give him money, Judas became elated and happy. All he began to think at that instant was how he would get hold of Jesus Christ without raising any much noise. He was going to do this for the money he was being promised! How can one sold of his master just like that all for the sake of money? Does it mean that to Judas Iscariot, Jesus Christ is not worth more than the money compensation he would receive from the chief priests?

Probably you may be done similar things as Judas by selling off your best friend or anybody close to you, and the compensation you got may not have been in form of money, maybe promotion or reward, I want you to understand that there is nothing valuable as keeping long term relationship with people.

You don’t have to sell of your friends, your colleagues or anyone close to you all in your bid to gain something. This is debauchery! It is worse off than anything! You still remember how Judas ended his life? He committed suicide! At the end after Jesus Christ was captured through his (Judas) help, of course, he (Judas) suddenly realised his mistake, went to the chief priest, and asked them to release his master. They all laughed at him! I bet they would have done more than that if it were in this present day generation. They gave him the money promised but he refused, so they threw the money at him. He picked it from the ground, put it inside his pocket, went out and could not get his action off his mind. Then he went right away and hung himself with the coins falling one after the other from his pocket. I would call that cursed-money!

Take a moment today and think thoroughly about this. You may be on the verge of doing the same or already done, you must watch your step. Judas was one a disciple but look at how he ended up. I pray you and I will not end up like Judas Iscariot in Jesus mighty name, amen.

When it comes to this, please, put aside diplomacy!

“But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you” Luke 6:27

There is absolutely no one who does not have enemy. In fact, some have plenty of enemies based on events that turned up in their lives, or situation, or issues that are personal, but I can tell you that every human being on earth each has an enemy to contend with.

If you see someone who is loved by everybody then be careful of that person and if you like, you can check him out.

One truth is that you can never get to the point o pleasing everybody. Life is such that you can only do what you can, what you are capable of doing to help and then move on with your life.

Even at times, you may want to go out of your limit to please some people but you will be surprised at the way these people you are trying to help are the one displeased and not satisfied with you. They may even tell you that what you give them is not enough that they want more. And when you stand your ground, telling them that you have done your best, that’s when they will take you as an enemy.

In spite of all these people or whosoever you are aware does not like you, Jesus Christ says in the above verse; “love your enemies, do good to them that hate you.”

You are automatically being told to keep on loving no matter the circumstances. Love, love, and continues to love even out of your comfort zone.

It may be difficult doing this often but you just have to obey God and His word. That’s the reason why you are different because you do things and handle situation differently from those in the world.

You are a true believer; you have the Christ-like image in you so you know deep down within you that you have no choice. Just obey what God tells you to do. Keep on loving.

Hear, Jesus Christ does not say you must love diplomatically, so don’t go on being diplomatic when it comes to loving your enemy. I mean love them without holding any grudges within you against them.

Show to them that you are child of God and nothing can move you or nothing can shake you.

If you are finding it difficult doing this, then go to God in Prayer and ask Him to help you. He is forever ready to listen to you and to answer your need.

There is no better time than now

“And behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give to every man according as his work shall be.” Revelation 22:12

Recently, there has been huge debate about the Mayan prediction that the world will end in 2012. And with several interviews going on, many responded according to their beliefs.

Now, men are trying to predict how the creation should be. Even before the Mayan prediction, there were lots and lots like that, which came up but at the end all of them have been false.

You know what? Even Jesus Christ has no idea about the day and the hour of His coming. God alone is the one who knows this and He is not ready to reveal this to mere human being if he has not even talk about this with His son, Jesus Christ.

Do not buy into the human mentalities that the world will end tomorrow. People like to come up with ideas that are not genuine in order to make money or create fame for them.

Look at the above verse, the Bible says, there is clear evidence that Jesus is coming and surely he will but the rest is left for you to make up your mind about how you want Him to find you. Are you going to continue to live your life as if there is no end or are you going to adjust your relationship with God?

There is a reward for every believers and this will be according to how far you work to promote the gospel, how deeper your life is rooted in Christ, how long you have taken to ensure that you and every member of your family are not out of the will of God.

You are a Christian, right? But believe men you have so much some tasks to do to ensure you maintain your Christianity. It is not in these present days of events turning up anyhow that you can think of relaxing.

You need to move closer to God now. There is no better time at all than now because the time approaches and ill come soon when Jesus Christ will return. Are you prepared? Are you ready? Can you say within yourself that you have no fear lock in your heart about His coming?

Think deeper about this!

If you can just believe this!

“Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27

I love this final part of this verse, which is a stand-out question; is there anything too hard for me?

Do you think there is anything too hard for God to do in your life? Are you in the stage whereby you think you have reached your dark tunnel? I have hope for you; there is absolutely nothing too hard for God!

God is God and you cannot compare Him with your mere mortal being. When God steps into any situation, that life becomes entirely different.

You don’t have to worry about anything especially when you are sure that God is forever there for you.

Nothing, I repeat, nothing is too hard for God to do. Thus do not lose hope, do not give up, and never be weary because for sure, the Lord our God, the King of Kings and the Lord of lords is right here for you, and He will surely do it.

Sweet, gentle Spirit of God!

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed” Luke 4:18 (NIV).

You have God’s divine Spirit upon your life as Christian though you may not have any idea of this. The day you welcome or embrace salvation, is the day everything in your life changed for the better.

You are no more the same old you because now you are born again, a new being filled with God’s divine protection and love.

In spite of this, you will discover then that you want more from God, you want to know Him more, you want to understand His ways and His love. So by reading your Bible, you get to have deeper knowledge of Him.

Still, you have this feeling that your salvation is not complete at the moment, thus you search and came to realise that what you need more and now is God’s divine Spirit.

Then you ask the Holy Ghost to come into your life; you invite Him in wholeheartedly and there He comes, making your heart His dwelling place.

That you have the Holy Ghost in your life is not enough. Yes, He guides you, He protects you, teaching you how you should live your Christian life BUT you need to ask for more. You need to maximise His divine presence in your life.

Now that you are filled with the Holy Ghost, now that you carry the image of God and His divine presence, then you must preach the gospel.

There are thousands of ways of telling the world about our Lord Jesus Christ and His salvation. You don’t have to just restrict this to merely street walking with the Bible to preach.

Have you look at your life to discover how much God has changed you? That is a testimony you must preach. Have you been able to have thorough reflections back to see how God has blessed you tremendously in the past years and still doing? Then you must share this.

Everything about you from the day you welcome salvation into your life is entirely a blessing so you must preach about Christ!

When you tell others about God, you change their lives, they may be oppressed but by hearing you, they feel comforted, ready to move on in life. They will be delivered from divers of sickness through your testimonies.

Do not hold back in sharing your life with other as testimonies. That you are hale and healthy is not your handiwork. That you are rich and full of abundant wealth is not your doing. That you have happy marriage life, great job, loving children, are not your own creativities alone.

God blesses you and He wants you to tell the world about Him, so that they too can benefit as well.

Use the Holy Ghost in you to preach the world. Listen to His divine instructions on how to go about this. Obey what He commands you to do and you will found how easy it is preaching the gospel of Christ.

The long-lasting, durable gifts of God for you.

“The blessings of the Lord, it maketh rich, and He addeth no sorrow with it” Proverbs 10:22

When God blesses you, what else can be missing in your life? Have you ever take time out to think thoroughly about this?

There are different kinds of blessing that come in divers form. You may obtain some favours from friends, family members, strangers, all in forms of gifts or whatever and you will end up calling them blessings.

But what happened if you are asked to repay or contribute or pay for having these gifts? This is where human is absolutely different from God.

When God gives you something, He does not ask you for anything in return. In fact, He gives you and that’s that. But when you receive from some blessings mere humans like you, of course, they will always want something in return to compensate for what they give to you.

Likewise, if you receive some blessings through the devilish way; do not think you are free because no matter what the devil gives to you, he will always want compensation. He is not God and this is why he fails at all times.

Use all your entire life to depend on God’s blessings and His gifts. God’s blessings are invaluable. They make you rich and fill with wealth in every areas of your life. The blessings that come from God are durable, everlasting, solid, cool, comfortable, well-being and will not bring you any pain whatsoever.

Do not throw away the blessings of God in your life. Do not think you can just manipulate your way and go on to receive some blessings from the devil; this will not pay you, just believe me.

I pray that God helps you in your understanding so that you will come to understand and appreciate God’s blessings as best for you.

All Glory must be to God!

“Praise the Lord, O my soul; all my innermost being, praise His holy name” Psalm 103:1

Do whatever it takes you today to give God the praise. He alone deserves all Glory and all Honour. Without Him, you and I are nothing. So why don’t you give up all your worries and fears so that you will be free, and be able to give God the praise.

Please Praise the King of Kings and the Lord of lords!

How do you make your choice?

“But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”-Joshua 24:15 (NIV)

I wonder how some people can dare to neglect their creator and choose instead to serve mere mortal or even dummy gods.

Indeed, God gives us all the choose to live our lives the way we want, in spite of this, we must not forget that we all are going to account for the way we live no matter how long this takes.

We are God’s creation and He purposely made us in His own image to His own glory. He would have created us in another form far from Him but because he wants us to be part of Him, God delighted so much in us that He made us just as he is.

So why can’t we then give Him the glory for having such privilege to be like God? Why can’t we praise Him, honour Him and serve Him with all our entire being? Of what use are our lives if we decide to reject God and go on serving mere mortal or dummy gods who are of no value to us?

It is your choice as Christian to decide if you will serve God or not But I want to make it clear to you that you secure your life, your destinies and those of your generations to come if you choose to serve God instead.

God is not difficult to understand if you try to know Him. He is love, He is kind, loving, patient, full of humility and awesomeness? It is your choice, I repeat to decide if you will serve Him or not.

I can’t live my life outside of God’s divine protection because i choose to serve Him. My family and I choose to serve God and no one else. We love God and we will do whatever it takes to follow Him.

What Joshua was referring to still applies today and it will be forever until the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Please I implore you, choose to serve God, follow Him with all your heart for there are abundant blessings, grace and love in staying and spending your entire life with God.

By the way, tell me, if you refuse to serve God, who then are you going to serve?

Think of the ways to love

“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.” Hebrews 10:24

In these periods when you look around, see the commotions, the economic hardships, the natural disasters and several others, there is no doubt that your heart will be weary.

You may think of giving up. In fact, you wouldn’t want to keep on encouraging others but this is when you must not give up.

The Bible has well-defined our obligations as Christians; and that is we must continue to motivate others, to show love to them, to give to them in their times of needs, to encourage them the further about Christ and salvation.

Do not be weary, do not give up and do not be discourage. No matter the situation, we will overcome and that’s what you should never forget.

Keep on motivating the others in your world, in your school, in your family, in your office and in your community. Keep thinking of many ways to give to the poor, share what you have with others and remember, God loves a cheerful giver!

God’s Promises bring Hope

“Our great desire is that you will keep on loving others as long as life lasts, in order to make certain that what you hope for will come true. Then you will not become spiritually dull and indifferent. Instead, you will follow the example of those who are going to inherit God’s promises because of their faith and endurance. God’s Promises Bring Hope” Hebrews 6:11-12 (NLT)

The new living translation Bible is very simply to understand as it thoroughly analyses the word of God in clear and simple term.

The simplicity of the above verse is well understood if you not just read it but go on to make use of the meaning behind it.

The Bible says as long as we live, we must keep on loving other people, no matter the religion they come from, of their background or their ways of lives which may be different from ours. This means we are to love unconditionally, having no biased mind, but just doing what God says we must through His law.

And from this verse, the second statement says ‘on order to make certain that what you hope for will come true.’ There is no doubt you may have different meaning to this but with all understanding, it means for your prayer request to be answer.

If you are not in good alliance with someone, or you hate someone with so great a passion, and then you come to God with your request, how can you expect God to answer your request when your heart is not pure, when you still hold onto hatred for your fellow human being?

As a Christian, you have your right to anger but you must forgive, and not hold any grudges against anyone. In fact, you are not allowed to hate any one because God does not hate anyone. He is Love and as His, you must love others too.

And above all, when you love others, your spiritual level will be highly elevated, so high that all you see is the good and the love of God for others and for mankind. There is no way you will be spiritually dull if you follow God’s instruction to keep on loving.

So why not make it your duty this Sunday to forgive, and forget whosoever must have angered you? Why not removed that hatred from your mind that you have been holding up against, your neighbour, your spouse, your siblings, or relatives, your friends, even your colleagues?

Remember, God’s promises bring Hope!

To Him be all Glory & Honour!

“It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O most High:” Psalm 92:1

Giving thanks to God is very necessary from you as Christian. When you give thanks to the Lord, you are showing He is worthy of all praise. It is not by force rather, it is your ultimate duty to give thanks to God at all time without seizing and weariness.

Your Christianity is not just a name-tag, I mean it is not enough that knew you as Christian but it is more important when God Himself confirm your genuinely faith in Him.

The Bible says it is a good thing to give thanks to God. It has lots of meaning but I would like you to understand that the good thing about giving thanks to God entails so much for you. because when you do this, your life automatically transform for the better, you begin to rise from one level of life to the higher one, everything in your life begin to change. Even you may not fully be aware of this but people in your world will surely notice and of course, they will glorify God for your life.

When giving thanks to God, your do it with singing praises unto His precious name. Praising God is extremely powerful because God takes pleasure in the praises of His people. God loves it when you wholeheartedly praise Him.

You don’t need to have any request hidden somewhere in your heart while praising God. Believe me, it is better you drop aside your request, your worry or whatever your needs are somewhere and then praise God solely.

I won’t tell you today to give thanks and praise God so that you can have all you want BUT I will advise you to make it your duty today and now to just praise God without all these. God is interested in your giving Him thanks and praising Him.

Of course, He won’t force you to do this and you are not compel either by me or whoever BUT it will be lovely if you can solely gives thanks and praise God today.
