Something You Have Never Done Before

“Do not rejoice when your enemies fall, and do not let your heart be glad when they stumble, or else the Lord will see it and be displeased, and turn away his anger from them” Proverbs 24:17-18

To have an enemy is not ideal. There is surely no one who is without one, and it is true that there are different types of enemies. You may an enemy that you are well aware. And you can have one you don’t even know exist.

Life is not just about the positive side all the time. There is the negative and this often tends to overshadow the good side. You have seen this in many issues around the world, as well as in your personal life.

A day will come when you discover the real identity of your enemy, a day you finally realise someone is after your life, to do nothing but evil to you.

When you found out such, I bet you will do all it takes to get rid of this person before he or she gets rid of you. Also, the Lord God will take it upon Himself to fight for you especially when you are battling with invisible enemy.

It is human, you are glad in showing your happiness when your enemy is being punished, but do you know what? God is not in agreement with you in this!

He wants you to understand deeper lessons of life. Someone who became your enemy did not just start overnight. Something triggered this person to be one. It may be through your faith, your spoken words, your attitude, or it may be as result of this person’s envies or jealous for you. Also it may be because of no one’s fault.

God is trying to show you that no human is any enemy. Situation changes people; it makes them turn from being good, from being the positive human to worst people on earth.

There is no doubt that God can forgive your enemy. Look at it this way; If God is punishing that person for hurting you, and he cries out for mercy, surely, God’s mercy is steadfast, which mean God will offer His divine mercy, and will change the life of your enemy for better.

Remember, salvation is not just for you. It is for everybody, for the entire human race. This is why it is not necessary for you to rejoice or be happy when your enemy is undergoing punishment from God.

Believe me, you have no right, as believer, to rejoice over the downfall of anyone, not even your enemies. You are saved to love, to forgive, to encourage, admonish and to bless others.

Instead, I implore you, to pray for your enemies, ask God to change their lives and let them embrace salvation. How marvellous life would be if we all have friends and no enemies! Think about this.

Happy New Year 2010!

Peace!

So I Pray For You………

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” 2 Corinthian 1:2

The easiest thing to do

“Do not judge, and you will not be judged; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven…..” Luke 6:37

When we hear people and their actions, often, we are pushed by our natural instinct to judge these people. In fact, we can go the extent of implementing our own judgement on these people even before the judge charge them.

In life, and with our human nature, we can easily judge people, based on their wrongs, their acts and even their ways of life.

But have you ever paused to put yourself at the same position as these people? Have you asked yourself this; what if I were the one in that person or this person’s shoes?  We are all human, which means we have the capacity to make mistakes, to commit any crimes, to wrong others.  It is the Holy Spirit of God who helps us to avoid evil doings.

It is very important for you to know that apart from God, you have no right to determine how someone should be punish for his act. It is true that some people tend to commit deliberate acts, which we can likely come out openly to condemn them.

In spite of all, the bible says, we have no right to judge, to condemn but in all things, in every situation, we must FORGIVE. This is a difficult task in many cases but with the divine grace of God upon your life, you just have to forgive.

Please, stop judging others, avoid condemning them. I used to do this but I learnt through God not to do this anymore. You too can change your ways. You can start forgiving easily and lovingly instead of judging or condemning.

In Roman 8:3, the bible makes us to understand that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.  Who can condemn you when God favours you? This is why you must never get this into you to condemn or judge anyone. If you are lost for what to say at the moment of crime, it is better you merely pray for that person within your heart, and allow God to take over.

Above all, forgive, no matter what or who!

Peace!

What Have Seen You Through?

“All the path of the Lord are steadfast love and faithfulness, for those who keep his covenant and his decrees” Psalm 25:10

None has been faithful as God! There is just no human being that have lived up to his promises all the time.

When talking about human, you must realise how limited he is. He can do what he can. At times, he won’t heed to the obligation given to him to make a move over an issue. The reason is, he is human. He is mortal and that makes him limited.

And when you talk about God, He is extremely the opposite. God is immortal and for this, His power is unlimited. Apart from this, God has 100% sovereignty over the affair of you, and I, and of this world.  He is the creator, which means He can do and undo. He has the ability to change things the way He wants.

The bible says ‘all’ the path of the Lord. It literally means the entire path, not leaving out one or the other. It depicts the unlimited capability of God.

God is steadfast in His love, in His mercy and His faithfulness. He alone can forgive without remembering. Once He forgives you, it is over. He doesn’t refer to your wrong anymore. He is not like mere human who can change overnight.

The love of God over your life is unlimited. It is a genuine love. When you are saved by His mercy, it is definite. God does not retreat the salvation given to you. It is permanent. You are now the one who supposed to live up to the gift of salvation bestow upon you.

Listen; with the steadfast love, mercy and faithfulness of God surrounding your life, you are indeed covered. In Lamentations 3:22-23, the bible still talk about the steadfast love and mercy of God. In fact, if you read from Genesis to Revelation, this is mentioned in almost every chapter.

Can you live on your Christian life without the steadfast love, mercy and faithfulness of God over you? This is impossible! It is this divine love, mercy, and his faithfulness that have seen you through, and so far.

Think about this!

Peace!

Prayer; Your ‘Must’ Anchor

“The Jesus told them a parable about their need to pray always and not lose heart.” Luke 18:1

There is power in prayer. I can tell you that prayer is not just about rambling. Through your prayer, you communicate your request, your heart desire and wishes to God.

Also through prayer, you develop the best of relationship with God, because the more you pray, the deeper you get with God.

Life is so serious that you also need to take it serious. You can’t fight a spiritual battle using the physical means. In fact, everything that happens in the physical, first occur and manifest in the spiritual.

This is why you must put on your garment of prayer. No matter how downcast you are, it does not matter if you are tired or not, what you need is to keep on praying.

Prayer secures your life, your personal relationship, your job, your careers and of course, you true faith as Christian.

In the verse above, Jesus mentioned the reason why you must never lose hope. He used a very strong parable (read on the chapter 18), as illustration regarding prayer.

By your prayer, you are knocking the door to God’s heart, you are asking Him to help you. Even when it seems as if there is no response from God to your request, Jesus says, you must not give up. Just keep praying!

It may be difficult for you understanding this but faith and prayer go together. The more faith you have, the more energised you will be when praying.

You know what? I implore you, do not lose hope. Never think of giving up because God will surely come to your aid. He won’t let you be on your own to bear the burden, rather, He will carry your burdens for you.

God loves you, He cares about you more than you can ever imagine. You only need to build up your faith and understanding of His supremacy by praying, without ceasing or weariness.

Peace!

Have You Prepared?

“For a day is near, the day of the Lord is near; it will be a day of clouds, a time of dooms for the nations” Ezekiel 30: 3

You don’t need any one telling you that the time of the Lord is drawing near. You have seen the events happening one after the others. The chaos, calamity, war, terrorism, famine, storms, drought, economic recession, death, irreversible illnesses, divorces, murders, and lots of them, are occurring at fast alarming rate that are very scaring!

There is no doubt that before the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, many of these occurrences will take place and they are now in motion. If you think back, none of these things happened in the past with so much frenzy as they are now surfacing.

This is clear evidence that the time if near. Are you prepared? Can you boldly say that you are ready for the coming of our Lord?

Wait a minute! I am not referring to the Mayan prediction. That’s absolutely false! And as a Christian, the bible says there will be false vision and predictions at the end of the time. So the Mayan prediction is one of them.

Even Jesus Christ, our Lord has no idea of the time, the hour or the date. Only God knows this and when the time comes after these events have manifest, which are now showing up, then God will send His son.

Believe me; do not be so careless about your Christian faith at this time. You never know what our Lord will come. Be ready, I implore you, be very ready. Stop toying with your faith in the Lord if you have been doing this. Renew your relationship with God, solidify it if you must but just make sure you are ready, so that you won’t be left out when our Lord returns.

Peace!

No Harm Will Befall you!

“You who live in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shadow of the Almighty, will say to the Lord, ‘My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

What a wonderful love! Knowing we have solid protection and assurance of love from our maker is extremely divine blessings!

No one depend fully on God and end up failing.  In this world of chaos, disasters, famine, financial drought, terrible happenings, you just have to understand the ultimate need for God’s protection.

You can’t go on this journey of life, all alone. It is not possible anymore. You have been seeing signs everywhere, indicating dangers, even at unexpected venues. This is just enough for you to know that you must get closer to God.

When you are 100% under the divine protection of God, surely, no harm will befall you. There may be times something bad will try to come your way but God will block them from you. Can you see any invisible problems? No! God sees all, and I can tell you that He has shielded you away from thousands of these invisible dangers, without you knowing.

Read the entire chapter of Psalm 91, to fully understand the greatest love of God for your life. He cares so much for you, giving you His full promise in this chapter.

Aren’t you glad having God in your life? Aren’t you blessed having the assurance of God’s protection over your life and in every area of your endeavours?

I want you to place these two chapters above on your lips each day you step out of your home. Memorise them deeply into your heart. Speak them to yourself with boldness, to be convinced of this blessed assurance. The more you practise this, the more your spirit will pick it up and it will show up in your life.

Don’t panic in this hurly world; just rest assured that God’s divine protection is your shield, wherever you go.

Peace!

…And the WORD became Flesh…

“And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen His glory, the glory as of a Father’s only Son, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14 (NRSV)

Today is Christmas! It is a worldwide celebration, by both believers and non-believers. To many people, Christmas is just a beautiful celebration. In fact, majority of people see this as pagan festival.  They drink, eat, dance, sing and that’s all.

To every true believer, today is a special day. We are celebrating the birth of Christ. Many arguments are still on this day, as so many religion sects tend to disapprove today as the birth of Christ.

Nonetheless, large amount of people have accepted and acknowledge today as Jesus Christ birthday and I am one of them.

Imagine God coming down in human form to dwell among us! Have you ever thought of this? This is how great is the love of God for all mankind. When you read the book of John chapter 1 and Verse 1, you will understand so much about the humility of God. He gives us Himself, He became flesh, born today and lived among us.

How many mortals can do this? Before you and I ever exist, God is. He created the entire world, the elements, the animals, and of course, you and I. Jesus Christ exists even before the foundation of the world. He is there at the beginning of creation, he sees everything, from Adam, Eve, to their disobedient, their ejections, the birth of the sons, straight to several lineage, to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Samuel, King David, till the last generation of the old Israelites passed.

To make adjustment to mankind, God makes a very serious decision, He brings out part of Himself, in form of Jesus Christ, to come and dwell among us. It is easy for God to fly down and just descend in miraculous way. He has all the powers to do this.

But to teach us humility and love, God chooses instead to be born from a woman just like us. This is the birth of Jesus Christ. None of the prophets believes God will come this way. They were all expecting a saviour that will fly down from the sky and dwell among them.

So if you try to read back thoroughly the book of John, chapter One, you will discover so much wisdom and knowledge of God about our Lord Jesus Christ.

Believe me, we have outstanding privilege to be called the sons of God! You make a great decision becoming a Christian. You salvation is not in vain!

And as you celebrate today, be kind to others; give our part of your food to the less privilege. Don’t just share your joy alone with your family members, share with the poor, bring smile to people’s faces through your giving. And please give with genuine love and freedom in your heart.

I wish you a peaceful and memorable Christmas, fill with love, passion for Christ, and His kingdom in Jesus might name, amen.

Peace!

Who Is Jesus Christ?

(Peter’s Confession of Christ ] Jesus and his disciples went on to the villages around Caesarea Philippi. On the way he asked them, “Who do people say I am?”
Mark 8:27 (NIV)

Have you been asked this question before? Who is Jesus Christ? Who is the saviour of the entire world?

Please tell them; Jesus Christ is the King of Kings, the Lord of lords, the everlasting savior, the One who was, who is and who is to come.

Tell them also that we are celebrating with God this festive season for giving us His most precious Son, Jesus Christ.

Merry Christmas, my friend!

A Life Beyond Your Dream

“There is nothing better for mortals than to eat and drink, and find enjoyment in their toil. This also, I saw, is from the hand of God; for apart from Him who can eat or who can have enjoyment?” Ecclesiastes 2:24-25

Looking at the sad news that surround us in the society, there is clear evidence how mere mortals we are. You must have heard of sudden death of popular people, celebrities, whose untimely death at this period of the festive period, cause sadness in our hearts.

Many of these people who passed on so quickly had no idea that they won’t live to the New Year 2010. Most of them must have planned ahead what they would do in the coming year. Some may be thinking of arranging their lives, getting new jobs, marrying, advancing in whatever areas of their lives that need readjusting.

Then suddenly death came calling! Imagine what a loss are these lives!

In the book of Ecclesiastes, King Solomon, a wise king in his days, finally came to conclusion about how useless are all his splendours, his riches, his wisdom and everything. He acknowledged God at the only immortal who lives on and on forever without dying.

It is absolutely true that as mortals, the best we can do in life is to eat, drink and enjoy our labours because we don’t know what may happen tomorrow.

Storing up your wealth may be considered the best options when leaving behind some valuables for your children. You can only work and work on until you retire. After then, you become old to the point of being cared for.

Then what happened later? Death! If you are lucky to live till old age, fine. But what about many that did not had the opportunity to live till old age?

That you are alive is an ultimate blessing. That you are celebrating the Christmas and soon be entering the New Year 2010 is another chance. This is why you must learn right away to give your life to Christ.

You have no idea what will happen to you. It is the same way many people who lost their lives suddenly, had no idea they would go too soon.

Do not think that you will die and go on with all your wealth. Whatever you toil so hard for throughout your lifetime, will stay here when you are gone forever. In fact, people, you don’t want then to partake of your riches will be the ones who will now freely lavish on your wealth.

So do you understand my point? Now, live on your life as a blessing. Each day you wake up to see the day, the sun shinning, the wind blowing, please give God the praise, for having the privilege to still be among the living.

Just eat, drink and enjoy the rest of life you have left. But when doing this, please, I implore you to live your life as a true Christian, a true image of Christ, and as the embodiment of the Holy Spirit.

Indeed, it is only God, and alone, who can spare you and I, to have the chances to be alive, to eat drink, and enjoy our lives.

Peace!

Can You Deceive God?

“Ananias,” Peter asked, “why has Satan filled your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and to keep back part of the proceeds of the land? While it remained unsold, did it not remain your own? And after it was sold, were not the proceeds at your disposal? How is it that you have contrived this deed in your heart? You did not lie to us, but to God!” Acts 5:3-4

Do you still remember this sad tale of Ananias and Sapphira, his wife? In the days of the Apostles, the members of the church willingly give up what they have among them, distributing to the poor, and helping each other.

This applies in today’s present churches when members voluntarily give whatever they have to help themselves.

Ananias and his wife, Sapphira have this piece of property they agreed to sell and give the money to the church. Yes, they succeeded in selling it off but when the time came for them to give the money, Ananias thought otherwise, concluding with his wife that they best they should do was to keep part of the money they generated from their sale.

Well, they did and came, smiling pretentiously to Peter, thinking that he will not know. Thank God for the divine gift of the Holy Spirit that helps us to discern easily.

Peter revealed everything to Ananias as you read in the above verse.

The result was Ananias died instantly after hearing Peter’s scolding. Shortly his wife, Sapphira came looking for her husband, and on hearing Peter announcing her husband’s misdeed plus his death, she too fell and died.

Today, many people don’t just die naturally though you may think they died that way. Do you know how many people had sinned secretly in such way as Ananias when it comes to giving to churches and God? Today, these people are paying in one devastating way or the other.

Listen, if you are not capable of giving to the churches or to the service of God, please, I plead with you; DO NOT OFFER TO DO IT!  It is better you announce that you can’t than for you to put yourself in unnecessary chaos.

No one forces or can force you to donate to God’s service. In fact, none of the Apostles forcibly asked Ananias to sell his piece of property. He himself decided with his wife’s consent upon this.

If they had given up all the money they generated from the sale, I bet, they would have incurred tremendous blessings upon their lives instead of that sudden death they got as result of lying.

You can lie to your fellow human being and get away with it BUT what about God? Can you get away with lying to God?

You will notice the two lessons in this verse above;

1)   Don’t promise to God and the churches what you cannot do, I mean what you are absolutely and totally incapable of fulfilling.

2)   Avoid lying in whatever occasions you find yourself. You are to show the true image of Christ in you. Lying only brings you further pains, chaos plus headaches. Just make sure your ‘YES’ is basically your YES. No one will kill you or put dagger to your neck in order for you to give.

I pray you won’t end up your life and those of your family’s, like those of Ananias, and his wife, Sapphira in Jesus mighty name, amen.

Peace!

The Man of God

“But we appeal to you, brothers and sisters, to respect those who labour among you, and have charge of you in the Lord and admonish you; esteem them very highly in love because of their work.” 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13A

There are men of God and there are men who claim to serve God but their hearts are not straight with the Lord. It takes the divine surrender to God to become His vessel. I mean with serious devotion, dedication and of course, the love for God, and His kingdom to be called the man of God.

Many people have gotten themselves ordained as Pastors, Reverends, Bishops, and so on, but majority of them have offered their services mainly to their churches, following the sect doctrines even if these don’t conformed with the law of God.

A sincere man of God does not necessarily be a poor man. He may have his personal work aside where he earns his income or he can work full time for God and be paid by his church. Some men of God don’t even have any attachment to any church, yet, they work full time.

Those ones often, have to struggle a lot to feed them and their family members, but in spite of all, they have never suffered whatsoever, because God provides for them miraculously.

You must have met some of these men of God I mentioned last, please, do not fail to bless them. They labour among you in the name of God. They would have chosen not to heed to their divine callings; instead, they gave all up to follow God.

Bless them with some cash, food, clothing, books, prayer, and words of encouragement. Make them feel worthy of their callings. Do not be like some folks who derive pleasure from taunting men of God.
It is better for you to live your life under the blessing of God than reaping curse as result of joining these ignorant people to mock the men of God.

Esteem them highly, that’s what the Bible instructs! And the more you do this, the more faithful you are as true Christian and child of God.

Peace!

Making A Unique Come-Back

“Listen! The LORD is not too weak to save you, and he is not becoming deaf. He can hear you when you call. But there is a problem — your sins have cut you off from God. Because of your sin, he has turned away and will not listen anymore.” Isaiah 59:1-2,

The way you develop a relationship with someone can be liken to the way you start your closer relationship with God. Though, it is different when referring to your acceptance of our Lord Jesus Christ as your personal saviour.

With all respect, God’s relationship with you is deeper than those you have with your fellow being because God oversees your life, your endeavours, your emotions, your inner secrets, your pains and happiness, your desires.

While with your fellow being, this is not the same. You can have a friend for specific reasons or none at all.

Do you know that God hears you at all times when you communicate with Him? He does not hesitate to give you whatever you want, so that you can trust Him the more.

But do you also know that God can turn away from you? Listen! This does not mean that God is wicked or He does not love.

Please make sure you won’t get yourself to that point in life when God is no longer your God. We have so much choice in life to do whatever we want.

I mean God gives us the liberty to choose how we want our lives to be. Many people have misused this unique freedom to the extent that they sin freely without any remorse.

Some even got themselves to that level that they now think God does not exist. You know you can sin thousands of times and still be forgiven, by God.

But there are some sins that are unforgivable such as blasphemy, deliberated sins, and debauchery, and many more.

You may think you can commit any of these sins and get away. Then after sinning, you come to God in prayer, asking Him to help you for something else.

Sure, God hears you but He will not give you your request because he warned you already not to commit those sins but you deliberately did them. Why can’t you obey God if you can seriously obey your earthly father?

In spite of all, I must inform you that God is forever loving and forgiving. In fact, His ways are not our ways. The bible says in the book of Lamentations 3:22-23 “The Steadfast Love of the Lord never ceases, His mercy never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your Faithfulness.”

Come to respect God. Obey Him. Listen to Him; follow His divine instructions that He laid out for you because none of them are difficult to follow. Just obey and avoid sinning.

Peace!

It Will Not Tarry!

“For there is still a vision for the appointed time; it speaks of the end, and does not lie. If it seems to tarry, wait for it; it will surely come, it will not delay.” Habakkuk 2:3
This verse deeply focuses on the virtue of patience. The need to hold on, no matter the circumstances, for the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.
When the bible refers to the end, it means all these things that will come to pass at the final age before the coming of our Lord.
Indeed, the appointed time will come and it will not delay. God does not lie concerning his promises. Everything God says is true. The end will surely come. Do not believe those that say there is no end. Of course, there will be an end first in order to have a new beginning with the Lord.
People, who have chosen to follow the order of the earth, the lies of the scientists and so-called intellectuals, are merely wasting their times. Imagine someone whose belief in something till the end, finally comes to realise that all was after all false hope.
With God, there is no false hope. What God says will happen with surely come to pass. Do not give up believing in God. Do not throw away your faith in Him. Just be patient, and put on your garment of perseverance. You will need all these to move on in your Christian faith.
Surely the end will not delay in coming. Make it your uppermost duty to live your life in the way to a true believer, pray non-stop and endlessly, read the bible, sing praises and worship unto God, preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ and above all, let the Love of God dwell and manifest richly in you.
It will not tarry!
Peace!
