“Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.” Philippians 2:3 (NIV)
Much is required from you when you are a believer. You don’t have anymore right to do, as you want unless you don’t want to obey the law of the Lord. And one of the fruits of the child of God is HUMILITY. When you have this, then you have everything, but when you lack humility then you must understand that your Christianity is not complete.
No matter how great you are in life, or how high is your position, that you are a believer, carrying the image of Christ, then you need humility. It cost you nothing. It’s just part of your heritage.
Any act of selfish or being self-centred should be far from you. What must you take life as if it belongs to you? Why do you have to hold on so tight to things in your life and refused to share with others? Do you think it worth it that you exhibit pride before people and anyhow you want?
Please do away with pride, and embrace humility. It is your passport to life and your heritage from our Lord Jesus Christ.
Peace!
