Your Life-Guide Instructions

“But you, beloved, build yourself up in your most holy faith; pray in the Holy Spirit; keep yourselves in the love of God; look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.” Jude 20-21
The book of Jude is just verses and no chapter. And if you read these two verses, you will see that they contain valuable instructions for your life as Christian.
I am going to split them into several portions that will best explain them.
1)   Build yourself in your most holy faith.  How do you build yourself?
i)              By reading daily the word of God and acting genuinely upon it.
ii)            By attending church regularly. That you go to church does not mean you should go to gossip but to praise God and fellowship with your Christian brethrens.
iii)          And living the true life of a believer in everywhere you are, at your home, at your work, in the midst of people, even when dealing with strangers.
2)   Pray in the Holy Spirit.  There is a great difference when you pray in your own language, with your understanding than when you pray in tongue, in the Holy Spirit. Praying in tongue is divine and it’s only God and the Holy Spirit who understand the meaning of your prayer. Yes, You are aware of your needs when praying and you are praying in accordance, with the knowledge of what you want but you are more secure while praying in the Holy Spirit because the devil cannot understand this language.  I will agree with you that there are false languages but when you are really praying in the Holy Spirit, you are directly communing with God, giving your direct relationship with the Lord.
3)   Keep yourselves in the love of God.  Read this part thoroughly, you will notice it refers to ‘yourselves’ as plural and not singular. It means you must love others and make them too to live in harmony with one another. If you are someone who loves causing chaos among your brethrens, then this chapter is teaching you to stop it. You must be a peacemaker, bringing smiles and happiness into the lives of others. You must teach them about God, tell them how God has been your greatest comfort and of course, genuinely prove to them that you love them.
4)   Look forward to the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ that leads to eternal life.  In everything you do, always ask for God’s mercy. When you fall out, which is may occur, ask for God’s mercy. He will never say No. Rather, He will pardon you of all your sins. Do not be so afraid that you will have the mentality that God won’t forgive you of your wrongs. That’s the lie of the devil. No matter how far or how deep your sins are, God is ever ready to forgive and forget them. He loves you so much and this is why He sent Jesus Christ, His beloved Son, to pay the price of your sins, once and for all.  Come to Him and ask for His mercy that will leads you to eternal life. Do not be shy. Do not be afraid. And above all, do not permit guilt to ruin you of your divine smooth relationship with God.
Peace!
