“But shun profane and vain babblings; for they will increase unto more ungodliness.” 11 Timothy 2:15

There is a usual adage that says ‘show me your friends and I will tell you who you are’

It is exactly similar to what the above verse is referring. To live the Christian live that God want you to, you must be ready to avoid getting yourself into unnecessary communication. You must learn to separate yourself from such issues that will tarnish your image as Christ-like.

There are some people whose conducts and ways of life have made many unbelievers not to accept Christ as their Lord. When they see Christians who supposed to be the exact image of God engaging in immoral discussions, friendship and ungodly activities, they get discourage and just way aside the need to give their lives to Christ.

Do you realise that the more you get yourself involve in profane and vain babbling, the more you drive away the Holy- Spirit of God far from you. And also the more you lose the divine protection of God over your life.

Let God be seen in you. Do not get yourself in what will separate you from the presence of God. There is no need staying in the company of people who you know don’t engage their lives in Christ.

Most times, many people converge to discuss horrible issues, such as cultism, sex, immorality, bar-parlour, flirtiest activities, killings and so many. It is not your duty not is it your mission to stay with them and engage in such.

Even daily or excessive cursing and swearing are enough to reduce your godliness. Do not make yourself a ridiculous person in front of these people. You are supposed to be there to tell them about Christ and salvation, not to stay there and then gets engage in their activities.

You know what? You have to choose whom you will serve; either Christ or Mammon. There is no either way around or any boycott. Once you divert your life and your spirit from God’s divine protection and shield, then you are automatically creating trouble, which is of no reason.

Avoid ungodliness and let the Spirit of God lead you in your Christian life.
