And he gives grace generously. As the Scriptures say, “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6 NLT)
Sometimes, it appears logical to acknowledge before the Lord our weaknesses and defects. It is a sign of love and humbleness.
Many of us possess a wit of the capacity of doing things by themselves without the help of others. I like it though. I have in mind, I like the fact that people in this category can stand alone.
Nevertheless, being alone in the face of circumstances, do often get us into trouble. We need other people. We need the fellowship of other Christians.
Above all, we need our Heavenly Father, Jehovah.
When we understand this, we will come to embrace His Grace. Without this, we were hopeless, helpless, frustrated and void. The Grace of God does the unthinkable. It assists in changing conditions.
Father we thank You for Your word. Help us come to the reason that your Grace is sufficient for us. Make us shift our attention to you instead of us drifting backward into states of desperation. In one body, we say we are grateful forever to you.
In Jesus’s mighty name, we have prayed,
AMEN
