“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord rescue them from them all.” Psalm 34:19
I have heard many preachers who boasted that Christians are affliction-free persons, BUT these so-called money-generated preachers are false. For their motives for money, they will not tell the truth.
The people with many afflictions, I mean about 60% of all, are Christians. Are you surprised? When you stand for God and refused to mingle with the world, surely you will encounter problems. It may be you got sacked because you refused to cheat as your employer asked you to. Or your non-believing spouse quit your matrimonial home because he or she couldn’t accept your new-found faith.
There are afflictions. And they don’t just end there. You may be facing lots and lots of temptation that are testing to your faith in God. These are afflictions. Name them, how many afflictions do you have?
Despite, I want you to know that there is hope for you. God won’t watch you consumed by your afflictions. You choose to serve Him, you make up your mind to follow Him while you left go of many things. For these, He will deliver you out of your afflictions.
He is God and He has all the power that are incomparable. He will give you a new job. A better one that is beyond your imagination. He will restore your marriage so that your spouse who quit you because of you are a born-again Christian, will return and join you to serve God.
Remember, afflictions are wind before God and He will blow them off your life.
