“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7
It takes the wisdom of God to make the wisest of all decision. You will agree with me there are instances that you just discover that you don’t have any choice in certain issues than to apply wisdom.
Some people call it diplomacy but does that in any way resemble wisdom? No!
You cannot compare or tend to accept that diplomacy and wisdom are the same. I suggest you leave ‘diplomacy’ for the Politicians.

Yes, there are some kinds of wisdom but I am not going to dive into the subject of telling you what they are.
Instead, I am here to dwell fully on God-kind of wisdom. You see, you must understand that with what goes on in your life, around you, in your places of work, or in your family, requires God’s divine intervention and reign.
Do not think that you are wise alone in your own decision, in your own thoughts or in your head to solving issues. That won’t get you far. What you need is God’s wisdom to live the blissful life that you yearn for.
God’s wisdom simply is what will show you how to direct your steps, how to make decision without getting into trouble, how to improve every aspect of your business, how to rule your family, how to settle discord between you and your spouse, how to train your children, how to progress personally and to the benefit of your company as well.
In the last part of the verse, it says “and with all thy getting get understanding” It simply means comprehension. Understanding why things are the way they are and not the way you want them to be. Understanding why there are sudden changes in your situations for the best.
Understanding why God instructs you to go for that job and not the one you wish. Without divine understanding, you are lost!
And also understanding how God works. Remember, God does not work the way you think. His ways are not the same as ours and this is why you must add understanding to your acquisition of God’s wisdom so that you will fully know about God and His supremacy.
Verse 1 of the same Proverbs 4 states; “Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.”
Are you going to embrace wisdom today? And will you also be wise enough to add understanding as well?
Ask the Hold Spirit of God to help you and give you God’s wisdom and His understanding so that you will be fully equipped to live the true life of a Christian.
Peace!
