But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us and to cleanse us from every wrong.(1 John 1:9, NLT)
Love is a beautiful thing. In universal, everyone says love is reciprocal. It entails giving and experiencing. This is true, as a matter of fact, this is not far from the pure accuracy. Understand how love is nothing else but both a perfection of a brighter life and the origin of all peace provide substantial clarity. That we need love to master our lives via our thoughts, actions and reactions.
More and more of unforgivable issues will cease not to overwhelm our would unless love becomes more than a definition taken out from or consulted in the dictionary.
As love is a give and take action, likewise is forgiveness. I can’t order a mourning Christian parent to forgive the killer of his child, but I can remind him or her of how far Jesus went to sacrifice His own life to save us from perdition. For certain, some acts may appear too grave to forgive and some folks may have committed the worst crimes that hurt us so much.
However, what comes to the mind of a Christian kneeling before God to ask for forgiveness? Has she forgiven her boss for the uncivilised remarks he expressed yesterday, which of course he’d apologized but she still feels the pain.
God will only forgive a heart that has forgiven others. Sound bizarre? Perhaps. Check Matthew 6:15. Remember the unmerciful servant Matthew 18:21-35? He wanted mercy, but he refused to extend such to his fellow co-worker. Of course, mercy cannot be imputed to him as stated in James 2:13.
Confessing to God include opening up to Him our broken hearts, betrayal, deception thrown at us unexpectedly by loved ones, and our ready-made decision not to pardon them.
Just by sharing these secret details to Jehovah can we experience inner peace that will pave the way for Him to answer our prayers.
